Happens everyday is corporations large and small. Communications come out and folks get on IM or go to the office one over asking if anyone heard about this or really know what it means. |
| Absolutely lost any remaining faith in mcps. How can anyone trust them to run a school system after this? |
|
They are sending out tests but not making them mandatory. Why would people even use them?
I’m very surprised DCPS was able to pull off mandatory testing this week. MCPS is really going down the drain. I hope they don’t make Monifa the permanent superintendent. She is flailing badly |
Lol no. Heads would roll. |
+1 It’s a total communications disaster but at least they were willing to “pivot” and do what most other districts are doing |
This is the only valid reason to close. I applaud MCPS on this decision. You don’t think schools are safe? Keep your kids home. |
| We won't be using our test kits or getting tested at all after this. The plan is off. Just go to school. No one cares. |
| Public health students will be looking back 50 years from how in disgust |
+1! A decent pivot |
In disgust at what? That schools are doing everything they can to stay open? |
|
Well, pretty much the worse decision ever. |
I just want to repeat this because it’s absolutely insane to say out loud. How in the hell is DCPS more competent than MCPS? When did this happen? Does this portend anything for the future? |
Well for us, it portends us not being in MCPS next year. |
Source? I can confirm a lot of stuff, too!
|
| I'm not against this approach, but what bothers me is the lack of transparency (before we had a % and daily numbers...now we have to trust the are working on it) and their poor implementation of these safety measures (I've seen no details on this "better" ventilation, I suspect the KN95s are only for adults, I know all the schools aren't getting tests on Monday, etc). |
