Karl Frisch and the Stupidity of Dunn Loring ES

People have specific criticisms of what incredibly poor decisions Frisch has not only made, but championed, and all you can do is come back with a bunch of BS about “book banning.”

If Frisch gets elected to the SB he’ll keep looking for another opportunity to run for higher office, just like he did in 2022 when he got trounced by Holly Seibold. Of course, he may get elected to the SB again because most people pay so little attention and vote a party line but maybe, just maybe, the next board will pay more attention and question his schemes. Because he is an idiot, and his boondoggle at Dunn Loring never came close to passing the smell test.

Thank you for taking the bait and confirming that you are, in fact, a republican shill.

The specific location was opposed by some in the community, and supported by others, but what you’re missing is that the money is now gone for good and it will be many decades before the Fairfax/Oakton area has the opportunity to reduce the enrollment at Mosaic (over 960 kids) or Providence (875 kids) again.

Meanwhile a new school will get built at Dunn Loring, where it isn’t needed, in an area where the nearby schools are below capacity and some only have 400 or fewer kids.

Only an idiot and a buffoon like Frisch could have come up with such a stupid idea, and only a school board composed entirely of members from the same political party could have failed to stop it. Shame on the entire school board for wasting taxpayer money.

I remember when he came to Shrevewood with his grand plan to reduce enrollment - parents were. PISSED. The school board had originally promised a boundary study in the fall of 2021 with changes implemented in the fall of 2022. Then Covid blew everything up and Frisch took advantage of everything to push his stupid school that nobody asked for through. I don't know a single Shrevewood family that is happy about this plan - for one thing, we don't need any changes now, our school is under capacity after Covid; and second, at the time, we needed/wanted immediate changes. Nobody wants a new school - all the schools that they would have moved our kids to were good schools (Stenwood & Freedom Hill). Now who knows what is going to happen with this new school that is like a mile down the road from Stenwood by the way.

Is the new school still happening?

That's a good question - it appears the website for the school hasn't been updated in almost a year. My youngest is in middle school now so I haven't been keeping up with it.

Thanks for confirming that bait is all you’ll ever have to offer. It doesn’t make Frisch look any less unqualified.

Well said. It will be a total sh*t show.

Wasn't the Shrevewood PTA in total support of him? I heard rumblings that they did nothing to speak up against his plan at that meeting.

I think everyone felt blindsided. I was in the meeting, there weren't really any opportunities for people to ask questions, and when someone did, it was really glossed over, so I think people stopped. The PTA sent a letter to the board members protesting the plans and I don't think anyone ever responded. I know I personally (and many of my friends) reached out, as well, and never heard anything other than "we're doing this for you, isn't it wonderful?"

Lady, you are being stupid on purpose. I'm not in support of Frisch, I don't like him. But I would rather not mark anyone down than mark down the Republican candidate.

This exactly!

Though I think people did expect the PTA to put up more of a fight but let’s be clear nothing would have changed so can’t fault the PTA. But the Shrevewoood principal has made an impact on enrollment through other avenues-for better or worse.

Nothing is less intelligent than your suggestion that people keep voting for more candidates like Karl Frisch because their opponents were endorsed by another party, while somehow expecting a different result.

NP. You are the one who sounds stupid voting again for someone who screwed your district over already.

The thing about Karl Frisch is that he has no shame so he is perfectly willing to get up in front of people and claim he has done things for them when in fact he is only interested in doing things for his friends.

I get that Sabio is rough around the edges but Frisch is not an honest person. And Sabio hasn’t wasted tens of millions in taxpayer money to save a dog park, which is the only reason why that school over in Dunn Loring is getting funded now.

Why did Sabio not fill out the Washington Post questionnaire? Frisch gave clear answers.

Four of the Republican candidates didn’t answer. Which should be the easiest part of the campaign!

It is still in the latest CIP and architects have already been paid substantial sums to draw up the plans. They could and should cancel it but Frisch ought to writing a personal check to reimburse FCPS for the money already wasted.
