FCV isn’t getting into ECNL regardless.

BRYC had not been competitive in ECNL since their acceptance.

Kicking out BRYC, denying FCV while adding a club like Beach would ultimately strengthen VA ECNL overall. Trading a NoVA club for a non NoVA club would consolidate talent in NoVA while adding a large untapped player pool in the VA Beach area.

Untapped? Lol - they all go the Richmond - you didn't really think those were all Richmond kids did you?

Trading Beach for BRYC is less likely than trading BRYC for SOCA....which is my guess

The ECNL does not trade out clubs. BRYC will stay in, as they should.

I would expect a merger with a smaller club to add to the player pool

What merger will help BRYC climb out a whole so deep? It's doesn't exists. I suspect real conversations have already occurred with management.

There is only one real option - FCV moves to BRYC and establishes a true TSJ connection which will draw enough player to be competitive.

This in turn will make Loudoun stronger and kill off GA in NOVA Virginia.

BRYC had their chance with SYC. SYC approached the club a year ago to which they refused and wanted no part in any partnership, they have been approached again by Valor for possibly adding a pipeline but I don't believe those talks are going anywhere. BRYC is just stubborn for help

It's a "family" club and they play "family" favorites even when they aren't very good! So yeah no partnerships happening.

I heard they added a few girls this month. Maybe things will improve for u13? (It can’t get worse than losing all games and not scoring at all)

Lol but it’s ECNL! Every starter on an ECNL girls exam will play in college.

Her Technical skills have developed significantly (can’t tell if just natural maturity and development or bc of the training). I think bc the team lacks cheetahs who can run down over the top balls they play more of a possession style which puts more pressure on short passing and movement.

Yes. The losses hurt but for some reason the players and parents are way happier and the last club. Culture is great especially how the girls support each other. Prior club girls did support each other but with an undertone of cutthroat performance. Here it feels genuine. YMMV

not sure why I remember this but they use to have a 2009 that was very fast. Our team played BRYC and I remember her from a tournament and was impressed with the speed and the amount of time at that speed. Sometimes girls don't keep that speed as they get older.

She is still fast. I think she plays for Alexandria.

Talented players leave because the club does not want to improve. It is a family business managed by parents.

Didn’t the last two TDs leave for other clubs? Doesn’t seem like a family business. Just a small club competing against much larger clubs.

The girls TD doesn't have any kids, so not a parent.

Actually I think it's FPYC. Or maybe Burke AC. Could also be VYS.

Definitely not Union; no fast players

I only know of one former BRYC player who went to SYC.

I don’t know if any who went to Vienna but all the other teams are valid.

is the rumor true that BRYC wants to try and steal girls from the bridge teams to fill out their ECNL rosters? there is some talent on the bridge teams but there is a huge price difference.

Most parents of girls on the bridge teams are there specifically because they aren't interested in the academy.
