It’s not just the Hill. It’s the whole city that’s out of of control. In just the past two weeks in our sleepy corner of NW there was a home invasion, armed robbery and a stabbing. That we know of. My very liberal neighbors are asking about the process to get a handgun in DC. |
Doesn't matter. Charles Allen saw to it that she got redistricted to Ward 7, along with her majority Black and Brown neighbors. He's fine with Ward 6 getting significantly whiter. |
| He’s doing a better job than Trump. End of discussion. |
Some of us prefer to set the bar higher than the basement. |
That could literally be said about anyone. |
That is the bar you need to set to consider DC politicians successful. |
This guy, however otherwise trumpian and insane, is right: https://www.foxnews.com/media/democrats-frightening-policies-legitimize-crime-rep-jordan-says |
Typically the bar has been "better than Marion Barry" around here. |

Silence from Allen. |

Do you have to live in the ward you are running to represent? For example, in Congress you just have to live in the state but not the congressional district you are running in.
I would 100% Denise Krepp. It sounds like she is going to be a few blocks away from the Ward 6 boundary though. |
| Crime doesn’t matter as long as we can all say we’re forward thinking and sophisticated and that we embraces the newest in policy! These violence interruptors along with early release for violent offenders from the Youth Rehabilitaion Act in ward 6 show that we’re on the right track to utopian society. |
Not for nothing but prayers are for everyone. That is exactly how prayers work. Are you praying for all involved? |

There are two upcoming public safety walks in Ward 6 that will address the recent spike in violent crime:
Tuesday, 4:30 p.m.: Meet at the corner of F and 15th St NE (in front of Miner Elementary). Dec 14, 5 p.m.: Meet at the corner of 10th and D St NE. I doubt Allen will have the courage to show his face, but members of his office allegedly will be on hand. They need to hear from residents that Allen needs to start changing his tune. |
| I think Charles Allen is the most effective council member I've had since I've lived in DC. He is taking a thoughtful approach to crime and addressing its multiple causes. Yes, he doesn't get on a soapbox and yell about it, like some local pols. I used to be impressed that Denise Krepp was seeking crime data from the city but now it just looks like more bluster. I know it might make us feel better to hear it, but bluster doesn't stop crime either. |

Ugh. I just way upped all my insurances because of all the car jackings and hit and runs on pedestrians and cyclists. Two carjackings in the last two weeks within a block of my house. Ward 6. All children. So sick of it.
Hope these kids meet the wrong person. |
