Camp Huma here. Only people who have not lived in the Middle East would consider Amal a stunner. She is just so thin that she photographs extremely well. We are all more photogenic when we weigh less than we should. That is why Rihanna no longer looks as gorgeous as she did 5 years ago. On camera her normal weight obscures the luminosity of her features. I have no doubt that in person she is more, not less, stunning at this healthier weight.

That was in the Fashion forum and focused on fashion choices of a family who posited they were fashionable. Ivanka even had her own fashion line. They also used tons of cosmetics, removable and permanent. Big difference than bashing a policy wonk for her natural looks.

I said upthread she has Kennedy teeth—I think those just don’t photograph well when you smile. Like I think Maria shriver is pretty but there are some pretty awful pictures of her where she looks all teeth.

I read the excerpt in Vogue and it left me a little cold, though she does strike me as an honest, decent person. I also think she’s got killer style, and I hope if she wants a romantic relationship, that the next one is fantastic for her.
