There’s a reason that laying for preschool matters; the cost of it drags down our workforce and therefore our economy. It’s an essential ingredient to continued economic growth and one of the things that prevents parents - particularly women - from returning to work, even during pre pandemic times. The inflation you’re pointing to is the inflation of drama and obstruction that comes with the GOP more interested in party over country. There’s no substantial prospect of long term inflation economically speaking. The brief uptick is already waning. You’re looking in the wrong place if you’re buying a $4 tomato. Or maybe opt for the non-organic. Bought a pound of tomatoes for $3. |
Wow. You really had to twist yourself to come up with this excuse. Dems are in control of all branches of government. What you are seeing is the result of their policies. We are seeing crisis after crisis. Neither our foreign policy nor our domestic policy is stable right now. You can thank the Democrats for all the instability we are experiencing. |
Please tell me exactly how Republican obstruction is producing record-high grocery prices for months on end. With a Democrat-controlled Congress? And Democrat spending bills? How? https://www.marketwatch.com/story/whats-behind-the-steep-rise-in-grocery-prices-over-the-last-year-11620362010 https://www.djournal.com/news/business/grocery-gains-food-prices-are-soaring-with-little-relief-in-sight/article_e24da048-e587-51aa-9152-2ceb33df1ecb.html |
You are seeing the results of over a decade of lockstep GOP intransigence to anything the Democrats put forward. Period. Full stop. |
LOL. Sure. Border crisis Afghanistan debacle Inflation Foreign allies turning from the US Nation being more divided under Biden All because of "GOP intransigence." What a crock of bull. |
Yes. A crock of bull - your bull. Border crisis - The situation at the border is a direct result of a combination of climate change and GOP-driven foreign policies that have impacted, separately, Haiti and central and South America. Biden is navigating a tough scenario on multiple borders and he and his administration addressing the crises as effectively as possible. Afghanistan - Maybe of Trump hadn’t double dealed directly with the Taliban in 2020, literally inviting them to Camp David, and thereby undermining the Afghanistan government Afghanistan withdrawal would have been smoother. But nonetheless, anyone with a brain and a tiny bit of knowledge of how these withdrawals go would have known that it was going to be tough. The Taliban is a terrorist organization. Biden and his administration nonetheless got hundreds of thousands of people out and have successfully negotiated continued removal of allies and citizens. Inflation - It’s temporary and already declining. A result of all those stimulus checks Trump was so excited to pump out to taxpayers and supply chain challenges due to covid. But sure, make it about Biden since you apparently have one line of thinking. Foreign allies turning on the US - This made me laugh. They turned against the US with Trump. Wake up. Where have you been for the last four years?! Nation more divided - Show me the polls and evidence. The last president tried to overthrow the government and the free and fair election. He encouraged a violent insurrection and aligned himself with white supremacy and violent militias. Do be specific on your response to this, Vlad. |
My gosh. You live in your own little world. A world of fantasy. Biden has totally F'ed up the border, the Afghanistan withdrawal, our relations with foreign partners, and the economy WRT inflation. Many of us knew this would happen given that his decision making has never been a strong point. In fact, I can think of NOTHING that is a strong point for Biden. And as for the country being more divided....
https://www.masslive.com/politics/2021/09/majority-says-us-more-divided-since-president-joe-biden-took-office-poll-shows.html What exactly has Joe done to unite the country? Nothing. |
"Sen. KYRSTEN SINEMA (D-Ariz.) delivered a tough message to President JOE BIDEN at a private meeting Wednesday, we’re told: If the House delays its scheduled Sept. 27 vote on the bipartisan infrastructure plan — or if the vote fails — she won’t be backing a reconciliation bill."
https://www.politico.com/newsletters/playbook/2021/09/20/scoop-sinema-issues-ultimatum-to-biden-494397 This seems like a very odd threat to me. Manchin, Sinema and a handful of house dems have made it pretty clear they don't want to vote for the reconciliation bill and won't do it unless they are forced to. If the house votes through the infrastructure bill, then there will be no reason for the centrists to back reconciliation. So she's basically threatening to shoot down reconciliation no matter what. The progs might as well deny her what she wants in that case. I am expecting that Pelosi and Schumer will soon bring out the bazooka. McConnell is over there in the Senate saying the GOP won't provide any votes to raise the debt ceiling, and if that's true then it cannot be raised outside reconciliation. So the answer here seems to be to put the debt ceiling into the reconciliation bill and then dare Manchin, Sinema, etc. to vote against it. Maybe hold a test vote on a clean debt ceiling increase first and watch the republicans filibuster while the stock market crashes to make the stakes a little more real. |
MAGA lying trash keeps lying. Yawn. |
^^Deep thinking here. Profound response, pp. |
True though. |
You’re gonna have to be specific. Tell me how Biden f-d up the border? And you’re citing a Fox poll? Good grief. Fox has instigated the antipathy that now is the North Star for Republicans and the MAGA crowd. Maybe they’re biased - I dunno. |
There is a whole thread on Biden's border crisis. Read it. Educate yourself. |
It’s mostly a GOP clowns’ echo chamber. It only gets bumped whenever the GOP invented crisis du jour isn’t taking. |
All facts. Except for the Vlad part. The con pp is all homegrown, the result of being propagandized for several years. |
