They don't want to vote for this boondoggle... they know their reelection hinges on crap like this.

And the popularity of this among most voters is not relevant to you, I guess?

Most voters don't understand it.

Yeah, 99% have voters have no idea what this bill is.

To be fair, there's less than 500 people in the country that know what's in the bill.

That's the way the Dems want it....

"We have to pass the bill to find out what's in it."

Republicans have done the same thing on multiple occasions. It's annoying and bad but nobody can pretend that it's a party specific problem.

Most voters don't understand any bill that's being passed. So what's your point?

The point is there's not mandate.

Under your logic there is never a mandate for anything

Excellent. It should have never been there to begin with. Neither should most of the other crap.

Agree. Immigration should not be included. But the Republican law makers have no tennis balls to get a meaningful immigration law. If they can’t stand up to the liars lying lies we can’t expect any meaningful laws from them to be formulated and passed for the benefit of the country.

In what sense is Manchin a Democrat other than just sticking a D after his name? When policy views does he hold in common with the party? He is against protecting voting rights, he is anti-abortion, anti-LGBTQ rights, opposes a strong social safety net, opposes environmental protections, supports tax breaks for the wealthy at the expense of the middle class, he opposes most forms of gun safety legislation.

Manchin is how Dems hold the Senate. He would never be an R because he’s lose his power.

Disagree. Manchin could extract huge power concessions if he switched parties.

That wasn’t the question.

He is a Democrat because he comes from a long line of democrats in his family. His uncle was legendary in WV. WV being a red state is a relatively new thing, it used to be a deep blue state.

Reckless is not investing in our infrastructure and continuing to kick the can down the road.

We can invest in infrastructure sure - but over $1.3 trillion of the Dems plan has nothing to do with physical infrastructure. Paying for pre-schools? Paying for immigrant legalization? Paying for maternity leave? Please.

All of this while the U.S. is dealing with record inflation. I can't buy a damned tomato in the store for less than $4. Stop the inflation.
