Can being much taller than avg ever be a disadvantage for men?

He’s super uncomfortable on flights because his legs don’t fit and so we rarely fly anywhere. If we do fly somewhere we end up having to get a bigger/more expensive rental car so he fits in it. When we first got married, he didn’t have a car and I did, but he couldn’t drive my car (a small 2 door coupe) because there was no way in which to position the seat and still see put the front window to drive. When we replaced it, cars that comfortably fit him were of course more expensive. Like another PP when we looked for a house in this area so many were non-starters because of square footage in a low ceiling basement, tucked under eaves in a renovated attic, etc.

What? Really?

NP. This is true and well documented with lots of research.

There are more fluke accidents but I don't think that it's actually true they die earlire?

Yes of course. They die younger on average due to health issues. Does your google not work?

A tall child is assumed to be older. A 5 year old will still behave like a 5 year old, not a 7 year old.
People assume kid is older and expect him to be more mature, less childish.
This is a problem with girls. A 13 year old is not used to attention from men and doesn't know how to respond
And a 5 year old can still throw a tantrum because he is not 7

Yeah I don't think tall women are getting laid more.

I'm a 5'6 woman, and I consider 5'11 to be the beginning of being tall for a man.

Whew, just made it

The struggle to find clothes is real, at least for tall and thin men. My son is 6’3”, with a 31 inch waist. We have just been searching for sweatpants and come up absolutely empty. Nothing seems long enough. (Any suggestions from other posters with tall husbands or sons?)
Also, I think my son, who is 15, is beyond done with the comments from grandparents, aunts and uncles, and random people we meet who can’t talk about anything but how tall he is.

In your dreams b ! Tch. Short people- ankle problems

DP. No need to be so aggressive. PP wasn't attacking people. Also, I've never heard of that being an issue.

I'm 5'-1" and have never had ankle problems. This is not a thing.

I know a lot of short people. No one has ever complained about their ankles.

Make a new thread. People who you're asking might not see this. Good luck!

I can help. I found this website last year. They have both men and women but for men their target height is 6'3 to 7'1. We have ordered both joggers and their Traveler's Pants and both fit great. I have a son with similar measurements. Same age and height but a 30" waist and is all legs. I was so excited to get him longer pants that actually fit. They run sales if you subscribe to their emails and shipping was fast. I also just ordered him shirts from JosABanks that fit his arm length. 15 1/2 x 36. Good luck!

I’m the OP of the quoted post and I did not opine here on my H’s endowment. No idea why someone pretended to answer this for me.

My cousin in nearly 6'10. He hates it. He has to duck in every house and apartment he's ever been into. He can only buy certain cars and will often sit in the back seat when not driving so he can spread out. Beds are difficult. His dad is the apparel industry, tho, so he's always had gorgeous clothing tailored to his frame. Shoes are nearly impossible.

The “awkward boner” phase of life was pretty cringe worthy. I had a few scenarios that were so awkward that I still cringe about them.

I do feel for overly tall people. I saw a guy who had to duck under the top of an automatic door at Safeway. Those are tall doors! I also feel for overly short people who can’t see over or use counters at stores.
