| They can't do that, because they can't predict how fast it will come down, and apparently it's plywood at the bottom, so it can't survive a crash landing. I'm just crossing my fingers and hoping that the little guy doesn't realize what kind of danger he's in and that he's rescued safely and soundly. |

Oh my God, how utterly horrible. His poor parents. I can't imagine being in that situation. The child must be so frightened and I truly hope everything turns out okay.
Is CNN actually televising this? If so, that makes me kind of sick. |

I can't handle this. I'm so so so so sorry that I opened the link. And yes, there is a link at CNN that says "watch the balloon floating live." completely fucked up.
I'm praying for this boy. And crying. So agonizing. I am praying that he jumped out at a distance of maybe 10 feet up and is completely fine. please let that be what happened. |

According to CNN they have a blackhawk on the way. They've been saying that for quite a while now. Where is it???? Can't they throw a huge net over it from an airplane or something? |

| There are at least 3 Air Force bases in CO. There must be something they can do. I feel so terrible for that kid. He must be terrified. |
