People who come to a complete stop in merging lanes

Many, many intersections in this area are NO MERGE AREA.

This was not one of them. There was a long straight away with light enough traffic that, if they had picked up to match the road speed, they could have easily got into a 3-4 car length gap. But no. We sit.

Their engine may not be strong enough to merge with oncoming traffic. And the merge land is too short. Just be patient.
