She laid VERY low until really the last few months of the campaign. It was a noticeable shift from her lack of any verbal support (or, to be fair, criticism) prior. She did speak for him in July 2016 and then i think not again until the RNC 2020 |

I don't think its dressmaking stuff like the pp says TBH. I think it comes down to two main things. 1) It was a weird dress to wear to this event. Grace Kelly is going to a ball, not a wedding. She is with a bunch of other people dressed VERY grandly. For a ball. And the dress is appropriate. It is a little too much for a daytime wedding when you aren't the bride, and it is a literal knock off of a famous movie gown and so it seems a little bit like she's playing dress up instead of dressing herself. 2) Her brand is now kind of 'two faced fake person.' I mean I would imagine even the MAGAs think this? Everyone knows her heart isn't in her dad's messages but she's fine lurking in the shadows to preserve her wealth and power. So the people on DJT's side must see her as not a true believer, maybe even a saboteur (unlike say DJTJ who is fully bought in, for better or worse). And to the rest of us she is spineless, willing to compromise any value she might have had for a piece of the family pie. This type of vibe is truly kind of poisonous. She just LOOKS fake. And everything about her choices (wearing a literal costume, the plastic surgery, the shoes) just adds to the 'fake' effect. |

Maybe someone kidnapped the real Kimberly and she's being forced to scrub floors for the Trumps somewhere, while her imposter poses as her. Because that CANNOT be the same woman. |

Let me preface this by stating that I loathe all things Trump, including his wretched children. That said, I don't understand what the issue is with Ivanka's dress. It was her maid of honor dress so clearly she didn't choose it. I would imagine that Tiffany and her team (wedding planner, coordinators, etc.) helped to create the bridesmaid dresses. Secondly, all of the wedding party dresses (bride, maid of honor, bridesmaid, mother of bride, mother of groom, Melania) were created by Elie Saab, who I'm a huge fan of. I think he did a great job, as he usually does. So my question is - why is everyone crediting Ivanka with the Elie Saab dress when the party dresses were likely done together? Her shoes were terrible but I do think the dress is beautiful. |

Grace Kelly is 26, Ivanka is 41. The original dress is of it's era and even though it has spaghetti straps, they are ornament, it really is strapless with a full foundation and padding. Today visible corsetry and sheer dresses are en vogue. Not sure where this knockoff came from, but it's probably someone working with current bridal trends, so they hit those marks instead. But for all the visible trusses it's not actually a strapless bodice. It has clear straps that hold it up. So it's more of a flimsy thing thrown over the body, than a shell that creates a form. The fabric looks chintzy, and the original had more draping and a deep V in back which hasn't been recreated. No one has credited this dress to Elie Saab.

I can understand face going wrong but why is her hair so bad? She had great hair before. That shouldn’t be hard to fix. Shorter length, get rid of the middle part. |

If anyone but Ivanka had worn the dress, it'd have been beautiful. But we hate her, so we hate the dress. |

| Well I love the grace Kelly knockoff dress. I’ve worn several vintage dresses from the 1950s and I agree with PP that the structure and fitting of them is just totally different—the dresses practically stand by themselves. Most modern women wouldn’t want to wear something like that. And women back then wore serious foundational garments underneath. Grace also had that great tan which is not healthy but looked great with the dress — she’s practically glowing. I assume from hanging around the Mediterranean sunning. And of course Cary grant is the ultimate accessory to any dress. Given all this, I feel like Ivanka did fine with it. I still want t see the mother of groom dress though! |

| I hate them all with a passion but just looked at Ivanka’s IG and actually feel sad for her. I’m afraid the weight loss is really unhealthy (disordered) and I wouldn’t wish that on anyone. |

Yes exactly this. Grace Kelly's dress had a layer of silk. Ivanka's is just chiffon with no base layer to provide structure. It looks terrible. |

If you take the makeup off and cut and lightened up her hair, she would look a lot more like this. The vampy dark look she has going on now is just awful. |
