I think she looks lovely but a different color might have been better for her, given her skin color. The tank top portion is too close to her skin color. In a red or blue or a darker bronze I think it would be perfect. Also like how her hair and makeup look.

Ivanka also looks good, actually great. I guess I just have a hard time reconciling this look with her previous Orthodox Jewish mom and businesswoman persona.

I have not, actually, but I have friends that have been, and I don't think they've ever looked quite so over-the-top. Usually I see them wear the dress, but with all the heavy jewelry and the bare belly and the really large jeweled bindi -- that's not something I've seen white women do before. As I said, I'd be curious to see if this was the norm for this event or if Ivanka took the idea a little too far (as she's been known to do...). If you're saying that's normal, then I guess it's okay!

I'm Indian and I think that white lehenga is butt ugly and not appropriate for a wedding. It looks like Little House on the Prairie meets mehendi night. So weird. I think her daughter's outfit is beautiful, and totally appropriate for her age.

Yes! Completely separate, Ivanka looks good, if not a little too informal. But then next to the daughter, you see it: Ivanka looks like she's going to prom or something. Her daughter looks like she's going to an Indian wedding. The outfits switched would have been better.

You haven’t been to a really really rich Indian family’s wedding. Ivanka’s dress is quite understated.
