She has a positive approval rating and Trump has been tweeting about her so he must be getting nervous.

And she seems to be getting high marks for her handling of the CV crisis in MI.

Klobuchar is the one.

Warren - for the center-left folks (Biden will win the rust belt on his own merits).

I still say that the relatively unknown Michelle Lujan Grisham is the best candidate. She is Latina woman who was the NM Secretary of Health, then served 3 terms in Congress including chairing the Congressional Hispanic Caucus and then was the first Democratic woman elected governor of New Mexico and the first Latina Democratic woman elected chief executive of any state in the union. She has an approval rating of 58%.

Biden especially needs help with Latino voters, that and under 30 voters are his two weakest demographics. Appealing to the under 30 voters is not a winning tactic as Sanders has found out because they are just not reliable voters and you can't guarantee that you'll get enough of them to vote. So he should concentrate on enhancing his popularity with the Latino voters. It's the largest growing demographic in the US and is very significant in several swing races.

She sounds great, but who? is what 95% of voters would say. Give her a cabinet position.

She's as well known (probably more) than Obama was known on the national stage in 2008. And as well known as Dan Quayle in 2000 and Al Gore in 1992.

It's far more important that the candidate be scandal free, have positive attributes and not have negatives than to have national recognition. Once the candidate is announced, the press will dig very, very deep and will introduce them to the public, very quickly and extensively.

+1 as someone who was actually present at the unveiling of Dan Quayle as the VP pick at that GOP convention, no one knew who the fark he was. Ditto Sarah Palin, although that’s not something than anyone should repeat.

What nonsense are you spewing? She’s very popular in Michigan (except with the Dutch Reformed whackos in the Western part of the state). They love her nasal mid-Michigan accent, cold weather cojones, and mitten jewelry. She’s get the job done and taking numbers.

Hopefully Biden understands, better than Warren's supporters, just how bad it would be to pull Warren out of the Senate with a Republican governor in her state.

I have seen so many people who have suggested Warren who have not considered how terrible it would be for Biden to flip a Senate seat Republican when there are several other good options for VP.

I honestly hope it’s literally anyone else just so you’re wrong. Every few posts you come on here absolutely certain it’s Amy with zero evidence that that’s the case.

Common sense isn’t always so common.

Second, mayors have a TON of executive experience -- the REAL kind of executive experience where they are held accountable everyday by their citizens. Contrast that with a tv show "executive" who is accountable to a producer and a few family members (if that).

Let's be real. The "experience" needed is sound mind, good judgment, and willingness to SERVE for the good of ALL the people. Mayors are certainly good candidates.

A good leader can hire experts in various fields. A good leader takes advice from experts, considers it in light of the needs of the people and the situation, and makes a reasoned decision. A president doesn't have to have foreign relations experience or even national experience. All of that can be hired or learned. But, a good leader is willing to learn from experts.

Yeah, but the experience isn’t necessEily with having the right traits. You have to know how to preserve those traits when all of evil comes out to attack you and thwart what you’re doing. That experience is invaluable, which is why public servants that have been effective in a bureaucratic system are highly regarded. They honor the system and help move an entire community forward. They don’t just get promoted and have people brief them and then boss them around on a whole. True leaders are always building other good leaders, and learning how to perfect and grow those good traits - and the ability to sustain em - in an imperfect public system.
That does have the muck of a New York sewage. That is the experience that makes leaders stand apart, and keeps supporting teams strong.

I have a hard time getting past that midwestern accent. Plus she looks like a typical Republican stepford wife. I know that that’s incredibly superficial, but I just can’t handle anyone who looks and sounds like a Trump supporter anymore. PTSD (post Trump stress disorder)?

A Latina could just as easily alienate AA voters. AA voters have literally saved the Democratic party and specifically Biden without any thanks elevating a Latina woman to VP before an AA is a slap in the face.
His promise of a AA female judge is meaningless if the Senate isn't turned.
