Is there a process to add a referendum in election? Something like city should be on moratorium if schools are above 100%.

I feel city leaders don't care about what overwhelming majority of populations our city feel about education. I could be totally wrong about it and referendum can make it clear if demography of Rockville is shifting so much that majority care very little or still care a lot about education.

It can make it clear if we are becoming another Wheaton HS with all those apartments or we still have a decent high school in future.

yes, there is a way, it's called the adequate public facilities ordinance. And the Rockville city leaders just voted to override it and go ahead and build anyway.

I will help whoever runs against the three who voted to allow this development to go through. l don't live within the city, so it can't be me. But my kids will be affected by the decisions they made last night.

You need to check how many new condos are built in the last 20 years in Wheaton HS.

As a Rockville homeowner, I'm glad they raised the cap to 150%.

The fundamental problem in our part of MoCo right now is that too much development is concentrated away from roads/transit, and the areas with the best transit infrastructure are not dense enough.

In the long run, we need to concentrate new development near METRO stops and TOD developments. Otherwise, the traffic will just get worse and worse.

The schools issue can be addressed with some thoughtful redistricting changes.

Any city leaders not having kids in MCPS is not going to understand what sacrifices parents make to get into decent school.
