Nope. Putin invaded Ukraine because of our weak withdrawal from Kabul followed by Biden’s ham-handed comments, as usual. You don’t send mixed signals to a strong man, because they will see it as a green light. https://www.npr.org/2022/01/20/1074466148/biden-russia-ukraine-minor-incursion |
Things don't happen in a vacuum from one administration to another. Pompeo and Trump bypassed the Afghan government, negotiated the pull out with a hard deadline, released 5,000 Taliban fighters, closed the State Department Special Via office and stripped the US presence to the bone, and then left office without a plan and the military and the Biden Administration to clean up. That only 13 people died after a Herculean effort by our military is a miracle. Putin had poured tens of thousands of troops into eastern Ukraine with Trump's tacit approval and nary a mention from the Administration at the time. Putin attacked at that point because Trump was out of office and he figured he could take Ukraine in a few days. He was wrong. |
Don't confuse the MAGA trolls with facts. |
My point exactly. Putin has been emboldened by the leadership weaknesses of the Trump and Biden administrations. Elections have consequences. Stop voting for poor leaders, please. |
This. There were two major differences between that debate and the first debate in 2020: First, we all saw that the four years were not kind to Biden. And second, the mute button really helped Trump - instead of constantly interrupting Biden and coming off as a bully, Trump had to sit back and let Biden ramble. Of course Trump lied all the time, but that's par for the course by now and his lies were overshadowd by Biden's decline. |
Nope. Countries move troops and ships around all the time. We do it and they do it. 99.9% of the time it’s theatre for domestic consumption But starting the first land war Europe since WW2 is a historic escalation. It was Hitler-Chamberlain all over. This time it was Putin-Biden/Harris. And as the last person in the room Harris gets to explain it. |
And, back to the subject at hand, Trump is afraid to debate Harris.
He is scared to say all those nasty remarks about her he has made to her face. He is also afraid of her intelligence, debate skills and being on the wrong side of all the issues. |
Trump isn't afraid to debate Harris and the media. Harris is afraid to debate Trump with the unbiased media. |
Trump is just floating this to get everyone talking about him again. Seems to be working. Ignore the child seeking attention behavior. He’ll show or look weak. |
He's not trying to drop out. He's trying to spin a story that Harris is afraid to debate on any network without a bias towards her.
He's trying to spin it as he's better because he's open to all networks even if they don't favor him. And we all know that us what the headlines will be coming from them. Softball questions. They didn't fact check her. She's scared of Fox. Only cares about Democrats etc |
Like he was afraid of Clinton and Biden? He's not afraid to be afraid you have to be able to honestly assess you abilities. He's not capable of this. He has shown himself as being able to rile up his base. His base believes he and they are victims and everything is rigged against them. |
The debate should not have been hosted by any of the major networks ABC CNN Fox etc.
Should have done NPR or PBS |
Hillary Clinton, who by any measure is more formidable than Harris, thought the same thing. So there’s that… |
Of course he's backing out - he's a bully and a coward.
|
I don't recall him trying to back out of that debate. |
