Many MAGA types think Judge Merchan can’t be impartial because of his daughter’s political connections, but also think it’s ridiculous for anyone to suggest that Justice Alito should recuse himself from January 6th cases because his wife has a bad habit of flying flags that were co-opted by the insurrectionists.

My old apartment building built in the 1910s has swastikas as architectural decorations. By your argument it's okay for new buildings to use that decorative element, since it's an ancient symbol, been around for thousands of years.
