Anyone else so glad they don't have kids t Navy-you people are exhausting.

The new hires have some very impressive credentials, too!

Yes, homeless people and no ex cons!!

Oh yes, I forgot about that insult as well.

LOL seriously these Navy parents are nuts!

Agreed.... (Removing navy magnet from car...)

I think it is most probably one person or two tops that are doing all the posting. You can tell by the way they always use too much exclamations and lols and similar insults. I don't know how they know about the hirings information, maybe they are on the PTOs (but hopefully not because this person is very annoying).

I actually think you’re the only poster who has been slinging insults on this entire thread. Including calling the black man someone’s “boy.”

Definitely not me. That was someone else but you just confirmed you comment many times repeatedly.

NP. Even in your previous post I can see your insults - calling someone annoying, combative…all bc they don’t agree with you. You’ve just confirmed that. You’re so used to insulting people you don’t even realize it.

I think it’s time to move on like another PP said. The vacancies at Navy have all been filled (no not with just “warm bodies”) and we are looking forward to a fresh start this fall.

That's all you dude. I think you may have been the one to make the inappropriate comment because you keep bringing it up. I wrote the comment that we should move on, I don't know why you won't. I think you talking to yourself on here. Like I said, it's time to move on from this topic.

Scores are correcting themselves from students being behind from the Covid Years. You sound like Biden taking credit for creating jobs even though they were just people going back to work from Covid.

And the scores increase would be the result of the teachers, not the Principal. And those good teachers all left Navy thanks to your boy.

This sure sounds like an insult to me after I simply expressed positivity about the SOL scores and vacancies.

Very low chance of getting a long-term sub for these positions. More likely a rotating cast of daily subs.

That’s what happened at our school this past SY, but it was only for about 3 months.

This is bad.

There’s still the whole summer to hire someone. Please don’t start panicking now. Summer just started.

I’d imagine the only actual teachers available this summer are a few who might be moving from out of the area due to their spouse’s job. New grads were hired months ago and transfers have already been placed. That leaves nobody to fill the vacancies except subs (and good luck finding them!).

July is the tail end of the hiring season. Principals have been able to hire since March so majority have accepted jobs. It’s really only about a month and a half until school starts. New teachers have great beginnings (orientation) August 5 and teachers are back in school prepping on August 12th.

I guess you’ll just have to keep blaming the new principal then, won’t you? Because that’s clearly all you want to do. (Psst - no one is buying it.) Have a nice, relaxing summer, if you can with all the worry about vacancies.

Unhinged much?

On the contrary, I’m very relaxed. I’m happy with the new principal and look forward to new faces in the fall!

You should volunteer your kid to be in the class that will start the year off with no teacher since you are so relaxed.

Worry about your own kid - otherwise you are just fear mongering.

That makes no sense. How is it fear mongering if there are so many open positions and it is almost July? It is plausible that not all will be filled. Get your head out of the sand.

Why don’t you wait and see what happens come August 19 before freaking out? Do you have any summer plans?

No one is freaking out but it's normal to not be so laissez faire and hope everything works out. Do your summer plans take over your entire summer?

I don’t spend my days worrying about how many vacancies are at a specific school at the end of the year, no. I have confidence our admin will get them filled come August 19 and I will be back here then to say I told you so. Have a good summer and maybe try a Xanax.

Since we go to Navy we worry. We also worry about the home value if navy goes south.

We go to Navy and aren’t worried.

Lucky you.

Given the demographics of the school as the largest plurality is Asian, our community tends to value education. If the score goes down, there will be exodus.

And another insult. Implication is if you aren’t Asian, you don’t care value education.

I see a pattern here and it’s not me insulting anyone.

Uh, I have at least 3 at my school that haven’t even had interviews.

Right now there are 64 k-6 gen ed postings on the FCPS website. 120 posts if you include special education elementary positions. It doesn’t seem as bad as last year but there will still be rooms starting out with subs.
