Wow is right.

I lost what tiny respect of shred I had for Arlington teachers.

Wow. Why are you even here?

I personally blame the small panel of people who made a misguided recommendation for the PAC.

Talking to teachers, they’re as surprised by this endorsement as all the commenters on ArlNow. Whether he loses or he wins and steps down, this isn’t aging well.

and you talked to all the teachers in APS? Sure. This is like when APE claimed to have a lot of teacher members. Sure, you did.

It's like when APE shouted down the hispanic moms and told them they didn't speak for the Hispanics. Now they say that AEA doesn't speak for the teachers. uh huh.

This candidate does not say, "Hey, I graduated from college a year ago, thus have limited work experience."

This same candidate also says his "involvement in our community dates back nearly a decade to 2014." He does not say, "I moved here less than 6 months ago."

These things are actual facts which raise significant questions about his integrity, not people simply gossiping online.

And, for this matter, if he's employing these kind of Santos-style resume tactics, how do we know he's not secretly a Republican? Has anyone asked him who he's voted for? Why hasn't he responded yet? (Do you see how ridiculous this is?)

Deflection. At least we know where he stands on Youngkin and MAGAs.

Actually, it's not deflection at all. This is a fact-based point about why I could never support Angelo. His qualifications are paper thin to the point of being see-through. In contrast, your concerns about Miranda are based on conjecture and wild speculation.

She and her supporters of whom there are clearly many on there could quickly and easily quiet the conjecture by stating who she voted for in the last gubernatorial election. But they have not done so. That leads me to believe she's hiding something so we're entitled to assume the worst. This is all within her control. Kind of like Trump not disclosing his tax returns.

Who did Angelo vote for? Do you know? (Actually, we do know somewhat, because Angelo has not lived in Virginia yet during an election cycle.)

I can't speak for Miranda because I am not Miranda. The reason no one is answering for her is because IN THE US WE HAVE PRIVATE BALLOTS. I would be surprised if she voted for Youngkin. But, as PP above said, if you want to know the answer to that, you have to ask Miranda, who, I know for a fact, intentionally does not follow stuff like this because, sheesh, who would?

Angelo has very clearly stated he will stand up for Arlingtonians against MAGAs.

Miranda has not.

What does that even mean???! This is some real LWNJ bs. Come on. You really think MAGA is actively trying to infiltrate APS via one school board candidate? Get a grip....I honestly cannot even take that seriously, really. This is an assertion of delusion.

Actually yes they do.

Go back to the beginning of the thread and it’s in the first 10 pages I think.

They explain all about dark money and some rich randos who are apparently very vested in this race!

I don't want a Youngkin voter who surrounds themself with MAGAs.

Clearly plenty of her supporters are on here. She could quiet the speculation if she wanted to. But she doesn't want to.

+1

At a minimum, her husband is on here.

There are no rich investors in this race. Miranda has raised like 10K total. Angelo has raised like 2K, half of which was from him.

The PPP is never going to actually ask her if she voted for Youngkin because, in addition to it outing themselves, they are so paranoid that they wouldn't take "no" for an answer anyway.

So what'll it be, PPP? If you asked her, and she said "no", would you accept it? Or would you take it as evidence that she's willing to lie to conceal her "true" beliefs?

There's more than one person posted on here. Different people may feel different ways. Doesn't matter though as I don't think Miranda is ever going to answer what should be the easiest question in the world for a true Dem.

Let's turn this around. Her core base of supporters would vote for her if she voted for Youngkin. In fact for many of them it would be a huge plus.

If her priorities and values align with Youngkin then I don't think she's the right person for the job.

Fortunately there’s a section you can review to check on that https://www.mirandaturner.org/priorities-overview

Actions speak louder than words. She should come out and say if she voted for him or not.

It’s not just APE types questioning. Look at the AEM post. Crickets on the explanation.

Y’all know that Matt de Ferranti just endorsed her, right? You think he’s a secret RWNJ Trump lover??

Which post is this?

The one where a retired teacher and former school board candidate shames AEA for endorsing Angelo.

de Ferranti took money from charter school organizations too. Looks at his campaign disclosures. Not all dems are actually DEMS.
