WCAC schools do NOT and CANNOT offer athletics scholarships only need-based or academic. That's not saying that they may be able to fit the athletes they recruit into one of those categories but there are requirements such as financials as well as required grades to maintain those scholarships. |

| so do the IAC schools not offer the same type of either need-based and or academic scholarships to there student-athletes when recruiting? |
| No Merit aid or scholarships in the IAC. Financial aid is based on documentation submitted by families to the school. |
The same applies to the WCAC you can get needs-based money which is solely based on financial situations and there must be documentation or academic based which is based on actual grades it all has to be accompanied by documentation and if the grades are no good they get no academic money plain and simple... I guess some are just bitter that the IAC can't keep up with the WCAC and have to look for excuses |
I'm not a rocket scientist - BUT average cost of WCAC $30k... average cost of IAC $50k |
100% correct. |
As others mentioned it is very rare in lacrosse v football and basketball |
The WCAC absolutely offers athletic scholarships and the manual has been posted on this site before. They don’t hide it. |
Not for lacrosse. It generates $0 revenue. |
SJC lax has been actively giving athletic scholarships for 4 years. The Hawks parents brag about it. Mitchell took a NL player from Bullis to DeMatha mid-semester on full scholarship. The family and the kid brags about it. |
You’re missing the point. Those families also qualify based on family income. |
| That is true. Coach Mitchell wants to win. At all costs. |
