Can I still pull my kid out?

Why did you sign up if you are just going to pull your kid anyway?

There is assumed risk with playing and the final risk assessment falls upon the parents. So if you signed your kid up for the fall what was your thought process in doing so only to ask to pull the plug now?

What has actually changed with situation that has given you pause?

I'm not trying to troll or bait you just genuinely interested in your decision matrix?

Because we heard things would be normal. We don’t want to leave because of COVID, we want to leave because I am worried about DD. Have you seen the sessions for 11v11 girls? I’m not talking just high school age, I mean specifically U13 and up. It’s a dead end road that’s rapidly getting shorter. And don’t tell me you don’t think LB isn’t going to be taking more. There’s no 06 team, meaning she’ll be spending more time with 05 group. And now with JN’s diminished role, what will happen is what always happens. LB with the older age groups for girls.

Looks like JN is still coaching. Even if he was not, there are many more qualified coaches at the club that should pick up a second or third team before her getting a second. If she really cares about the community and club she should let others do the coaching.

So club strife. Got it.

It is best to go with your gut on these things. I'd leave.

Yeah, and those two teams will be one. Does he stick around as non-director? LB will be the main coach for older girls, just like she was in the past.

I honestly doubt it. If that age group is already low in numbers, with her it’ll be 0.

Which means she’ll take the remainder of 2004 girls and then whoever stays with 2005 girls.

It’s not club strife, it’s much more than that. I’ve been hearing rumors of there’s even more missing age groups this year. The club is falling apart. If you’re a serious about future, leave. Whether it’s college bound players or the really young ones.

Call it what you want, I don't care. It is still accurate. And I would likely leave regardless of what name you want to pin to it.

Fair enough. Can I still go to a CCL club? Alexandria and SYC are closest, Arlington isn’t too far.

You need to read up on the CCL recruiting rules. It is up to LMVSC to allow it.

There are ECNL and GA options available that you might want to consider though.

If you came from a CCL club at any point in time, it’s really easy to go back.

just reach out to the club you want to go to. it’s easy to set up a ID session, and look around you. syc and alexandria have age groups in MLS EDP, and their girls teams are good as well.

arlington boys have ECNL and their girls are in GAL. if you don’t move this year, you certainly will next year.
