NPL was also known as ECNL RL.
Some DA teams in So Cal chose ECNL RL for next year as their path to future acceptance into ECNL. It should could as no surprise that FCV was not allowed a spot in the ECNL after they were kicked out of the ECNL RL mid season. It does matter. |

Those clubs put their B teams in those leagues. So what? Stafford is in NPL now. Are they getting into ECNL? C’mon now. |
So changing the name of NPL to ECNL R suddenly changed the players and elevated the teams? |
| No the actions of the club FCV with their second teams pissed of a league ECNL which ended up hurting their first teams. |
No, they still suck for the most part. Especially in VA. |
This seems accurate. |
| It was probably the above (FCV pulling out of ECNL2 in favor of EDP) as well as prior bad blood left over from them initially leaving ECNL in favor of the DA years ago. |
Yes, but then again it shows how political and petty ECNL/US Club soccer is. NPL is bad, there is little competitive reason to participate so instead of the league addressing that they kick out a solid club and then block their admittance to ECNL. Sounds real Elite to me. |
NPL isn't "bad." It's just made up of smaller clubs. No worse than CCL or NCSL. |
Not a good comparison. I don't know much about the NCSL, but the CCL has some strong teams and some really really bad ones. |
That is true of EVERY LEAGUE. |

Not to the same degree!! True that not all teams are created equally in each league, but you can't compare a bad team in the CCL to a bad team in the ECNL. There are levels to this. For that matter there are good Rec teams, but you can't compare them to other good teams in a higher divison. |
There is no real level difference between CCL and NCSL. stop |
