Whistleblower complaint released

Anonymous
Schiff didn't do anything wrong. You are willfully distracting from an illegal phone conversation the President had with another country, one that he admitted to and that he has provided summaries to, and that others have confirmed.

Schiff is another distraction, like Biden, UraniumOne, Pizzagate, her emails and the list goes on.

And you will fall for the Mifsud story too, when Barr and Pompeo come running back with it.

The Democratic head of the House Intelligence Committee, Representative Adam B. Schiff of California, learned about the outlines of a C.I.A. officer’s concerns that President Trump had abused his power days before the officer filed a whistle-blower complaint, according to a spokesman and current and former American officials.

The early account by the future whistle-blower shows how determined he was to make known his allegations that Mr. Trump asked Ukraine’s government to interfere on his behalf in the 2020 election. It also explains how Mr. Schiff knew to press for the complaint when the Trump administration initially blocked lawmakers from seeing it.

Before going to Congress, the C.I.A. officer had a colleague convey his accusations to the agency’s top lawyer. Concerned about how that avenue for airing his allegations was unfolding, the officer then approached a House Intelligence Committee aide, alerting him to the accusation against Mr. Trump. In both cases, the original accusation was vague.

Well its a good thing he/she did or we'd STILL be waiting to see it. Its not like the WH cared that they were constitutionally obligated to hand it over. The WB went to Schiff's aid only when his complaint wasn't seeing the light of day.

Nope. He went to Schiff's aid BEFORE filing the complaint.
Schiff's aid told him to get a lawyer. Schiff has been lying.
Wonder how much assistance the WB got from Schiff, et al, in drafting the complaint.

Conjecture, your honor. you are already repeating the WH talking points on this.

Bottom line, the whistleblower report confirmed what the white house released, and the president broke the law.

A fact witness to what? If the whistleblower hadn't gone to the Congressional aide then the complaint would've been successfully buried by the White House.

How can it be buried when we all have seen it?
And, he went to Schiff's office BEFORE he ever filed the complaint.

Quoting directly from the NY Times article - the timeline

The C.I.A. officer first had a colleague take his concerns — in vague form — to the C.I.A.’s general counsel, Courtney Simmons Elwood, who began a preliminary inquiry by contacting a deputy White House counsel, alerting the White House that complaints were coming from the C.I.A.

As C.I.A. and White House lawyers began following up on the complaint, the C.I.A. officer became nervous, according to a person familiar with the matter. He learned that John Eisenberg, a deputy White House counsel and the legal adviser to the national security adviser, was among those scrutinizing his initial allegation....

...The C.I.A. officer decided the complaint he had brought to Ms. Elwood was at risk of being swept aside, prompting him to go to the lawmakers who conduct oversight of the intelligence agencies.

He followed the advice of Mr. Schiff’s aide and filed his complaint to Mr. Atkinson. And though Mr. Maguire blocked him from forwarding it to Congress, he did allow Mr. Atkinson to notify lawmakers of its existence.

And, he went to Schiff, not to the Senate Intelligence Committee as well.
This speaks volumes.
Schiff is such a liar.

It was illegally buried by the DOJ and the acting DNI. Yes, it surfaced eventually, but that doesn't change the attempt to obstruct on behalf of the DNI and DOJ.

Broke WHAT law? He did not break any law.
And, my statement was actually made even before Trump suggested it. Because it is what we are all thinking now.
Schiff is dirty.

What did Schiff lie about? And how does that change the underlying story, that the president illegally asked for foreign help in the 2020 election and used Congressionally appropriate aid to shake down the Ukranians, and now it is likely that he forced the Ukrainians to cede Dombass to the Russians, giving Putin a huge win in the region.

Most patriotic Americans disagree with you.

When a whistleblower seeks guidance and th staff advises them to get counsel and go to an inspector general, then what did Schiff do wrong or lie about?

You all are making up more conspiracies in real time.

Imagine Obama called Netanyahu in July 2011 and told him he was witholding funds to israel unless he made up a story about Mitt Romney. Hillary listened in on the call and when it became public, Eric Holder covered it up.

What would your reaction be?

Mitch McConnell needs to make a deal to stop the crazy.
House impeaches Trump.
Senate convicts.
President Pence appoints Mitt Romney or John Kasich as VP.
Pence resigns.
The new president pardons Pence.
Better for the country because people have a choice between two sane but very different party platforms for president in 2020.

No, this is a part of the procedural process outlined in the statue, not a fact of the underlying complaint.

I believe the procedural process states to go to the IG.

Questions I have:

1. What was the actual date the WB went to Schiff's aide?
2. If Schiff did nothing wrong, why didn't he admit to this weeks ago when he knew about it instead of saying that "we" had no contact with the WB?
3. Isn't Schiff supposed to share information he receives with the committee, or at least the ranking member?
4. Why did the WB go ONLY to the House Intelligence and not the Senate as well?

I have to say - this is progressing much the same as the bogus Kavanaugh charges.
