And this was the campaign’s tone-deaf response.
“The Tuberville campaign did not address the incident directly in its statement, but said Tuberville “helped mold the character of thousands of players, many of whom had not had the benefit of a father or positive male role model in their lives.”

It IS Alabama, though. That sort of nonsense will probably work.

“And what happened next? Tuberville did such a great job disciplining Robinson that he was arrested again! While on probation!

Running back Clifton Robinson who, already on probation for contributing to the delinquency of a minor, was arrested in February on assault charges. Police claimed that Robinson was involved in a fight outside an Auburn, Alabama restaurant.
And what happened after Robinson left Auburn? In 2006, Robinson was found guilty in the aggravated battery of an off-duty deputy, according to the Naples News.

Tuberville likes to talk, but the more he talks, the more he looks like a hypocrite.”

Oh yeah, well, if Maine voters care primarily about allegations of sexual misconduct certainly this is the tack to take

Each tweet has a different question.

And, as for the story:

It's like the bible. They believe in the portions that are convenient for their positions.

So, do you think, just possibly that there is a difference between the job of a US Attorney and a football coach?

FWIW, Jones is a decent man, but his votes do not reflect the opinions of most Alabama voters. Voting against another good man (Kavanaugh) will hurt him. And, voting to impeach Trump will also hurt.

Jones is toast.

Kavanaugh lied under oath. That is not a good man.

And where Coach is concerned...

Thank you for admitting that Jones appears to be decent.

The problem with all of your arguments is that the opinion of most Alabama voters is uninformed. I live in Alabama. Just yesterday some of my Republican friends were complaining about Jeff Sessions recusing himself from the Russia investigation even though this was without a doubt the ethically correct thing to do.
