Comey is out!

Trump’s anger reached a boiling point when Comey refused to preview for top Trump aides his planned testimony before a Senate panel last week. From Reuters’ Steve Holland and Jeff Mason: “Trump, Sessions and Rosenstein had wanted a heads-up from Comey about what he would say at a May 3 hearing about his handling of an investigation into [Clinton's] use of a private email server. When Comey refused, Trump and his aides considered that an act of insubordination … A former Trump adviser said Trump was also angry because Comey had never offered a public exoneration of Trump in the FBI probe into contacts between the U.S. ambassador to Russia, Sergei Kislyak, and Trump campaign advisers last year.” One adviser said Comey’s Senate testimony on Clinton reinforced in Trump’s mind that “Comey was against him.” "He regretted what he did to Hillary but not what he did to Trump," A former adviser added.

It's all about Trump wanting loyalists to protect him. Comey was not beholden to Trump, so Trump can't guarantee his loyalty. Trump sees that as a threat.

This so-called POTUS is truly frightening. He becomes more of a threat to this country everyday he is in office. He truly wants to run that office like his personal family owned business. God help us all. You Trumpsters have truly screwed us.

Not only does he truly want to, he is truly doing so. So far, no one has told him no. He has done anything and everything that he has wanted to, more or less successfully.

So Rosenstein is unhappy and now McCabe is contradicting the WH. What is next? Who else is going to be found hiding out in the shrubs?

It is what happens when we give the American voters a choice between two unpalatable choices. Hillary should never have been the nominee of the Democratic party. I don't blame just the Trump voters ....... I think we bear some responsibility for nominating a disastrous candidate.

Bannon? Somehow I imagine his official office space being out there in the dark shrubbery.

Conway said it. Trump expects everyone to be loyal to him. If the FBI director won't be loyal to him, then he'll get fired.

The replacement FBI director needs to be confirmed by the Senate. I guess we'll have an acting director until 2020, since there is no person who will be impartial and pass both the president and the Senate.

Perhaps Trump will put up an impartial/"moderate" person whom the Senate will confirm, only to have Trump fire that person when the loyalty is questioned.

Lest we forget, Hillary called the investigation into her email server a "security review". When you condemn Trump for saying he is not a target, please recall that Hillary said the same thing over and over and over. So, is Trump a target? Haven't seen any evidence that he is--except for the media.

Lynch even demanded that Comey refer to it as a "matter" not an "investigation".

Do you really think that Lynch ever intended to prosecute Hillary--she couldn't even tolerate an "investigation".......she wouldn't recuse herself.

So, do I like Trump's behavior? NO. Is it any different from Hillary's behavior? It's not any worse.

This was the final straw. Attacked the one thing Trump is pathologically obsessed with - how he won the election.

As far as I know, Trump's campaign is under investigation. Not Trump himself. As for Trump's behavior, firing Comey because he wasn't loyal is bad. And it's only making things worse for Trump, not better.

One thing that people disliked about Hillary was her poor judgment. Trump also has poor judgment. He has just shown that his judgment is terrible.

Correct. In my own understanding, that doesn't exclude Trump since, of course, he was a part of his campaign, but the investigation is certainly not restricted to Trump himself.

Go eff yourself. No, we're not doing this. We have the Republican candidate who WORKED WITH RUSSIA TO GET ELECTED. Game over. The GOP sucks. It is the treason party.

Yes, it is! Christ on a bike, do you worship at the altar of false equivalencies or something? Hillary's investigation could be construed as a "security review." Donnie flat out LIED in the middle of firing the guy investigating him! Wondering why you haven't heard concretely that Donnie is being investigated? Because it's the office of the president, even if that dirty Russian satellite turd sits his orange hills there, no one is going to flat out say that he's one of the (many Republican) targets.
