Actually, I am very surprised at how incredible accommodating and mature Thomas has been throughout the court dealings with her. He was the one who asked the court to seal all the documents (ultimately trying to protect anyone from knowing about her addiction). The allegations that were publicly made against her were pretty horrific - turning tricks to obtain drugs, disappearing for days on end, etc. The court ordered drug testing for both of them - he passed, she didn't. Yes, they obtained hair samples from both. I'm surprised that he didn't try to block her from retaining ANY custody. But, he has done the opposite. |
Whoa. I missed this. It makes the situation behind her loss of custody a lot more clear. Where did you read all of those details? I've just seen the failed drug tests. |
| Kathryn and Naomie were born a day apart. Fascinating to see how life plays out so differently for people of the same age... |
Hi there PR team for Thomas! |
Agree. The part where she says it's not normal or good for a grown man to be waking up at 2 pm and he says "it's because he was trading the market [China?] all night long" and she just laughed: it was sad. He was obviously lying and she knew it and finds him in such moments to be pathetic. I would too but that's also how you know it's time to call it quits. Relationships can't survive and thrive when one looks at the other with such contempt. |
Meh. That's not a real explanation as to why his kids don't even live in the house with him. It seems like he just had them to check a box for his family. Most of his scenes with the children involve someone else. Either the nanny or Kathryn. He never appears to be with them alone. But because Kathryn has issues (and not sure that having kids with a dude that was in jail for selling coke is wholly unrelated to becoming addicted to coke) people treat him like father of the year. Don't buy it. Of course he didn't block her from more custody because he would literally die if he had to spend more than an hour with the kids at a time. |

I think Naomie and Craig are still together.
Shep: he's in a downward spiral, if he's not an alcoholic, he's well on his way to being an alcoholic. Sad. If there's a reunion show this season there's a few people who are not going to be happy when they watch the season. It's all going to come out how Cameran was egging Shep on. |
|
I'm a huge Bravo fan but this season, I'm not at all into Southern Charm. I can't stand the storyline with Chelsea, Austen and Shep. I think Chelsea is super trashy. She definitely is one of Cameron's "reality TV" friends (Cameron was on Real World). I think the friendship with Shep and Cameron is super fake too.
What is so gross is Landon. She and Thomas deserve each other. They are terrible people. (my family knows Thomas and he is not a good guy). The storyline with Kathryn is very upsetting. |
I know Thomas and his family as well. It's so bizzare to see him on television. Y'all, he is NOT a good guy. I would bet money that he is the one who got Katherine addicted to drugs. She was just a kid when they started dating. You don't realize just how much older Thomas is when you watch the show. He is about five or six years older than I am, so probably around 55? She could easily be his daughter. The best thing that could happen for those kids is for Katherine to get her life together and let her family help her raise those babies. Thomas will quickly lose interest in the kids. I don't know Landon or her family. But if they are really from Charleston, they don't want her anywhere near Thomas. He is not Charleston's most eligible bachelor like the show tries to portray sometimes. The show discusses his drug charges, but I've never heard them mention all the other stuff he has been accused of. His ex-wife could tell you about the real Thomas Ravenel. |
| Team Kathryn 100%. I have high hopes for her getting it together. And she looked flawless on WWHL. |
What's the deal with Whitney? On last night's episode he seemed to be actively encouraging drama and fighting. It was so awkwardly awful behavior on his part. I have the feeling that he flies into Charleston from LA, stirs up trouble between the cast members, and then jets out back to LA once the cameras are off. It's frankly disturbing to watch him use his "friends" like this. |
Isn't Whitney an executive producer of the show? It's probably in his best interest to stir up things...a big "scene" could increase ratings. |
|
I also thought Whitney was overtly drumming up drama for ratings. He seems so evil and creepy.
I'm still rooting for Kathryn. I think she was caught up in a dream fed to her by Thomas and crew and really hope she can extricate, get healthy and co-parent in the healthiest way she can given Thomas' domineering ways. When appropriately styled, she really is lovely. Landon is terrible and I'm happy that her true self was shining through in this last episode in Key West. Austin seems like a nice guy - from a nice family - so he should really just get off of this tv show. |
|
Thomas is the worst. The comment he made about how to have babies at the dinner was gross. When they show him in bars leering at all the younger women, it is downright creepy.
Why Patricia and crew think he is some sort of catch is beyond me. |
Agree with your post except for this. He is working hard to find a Momma for those kids, and it's not Kathryn he wants. He wants the perfect family (at least by all appearances) but not with her. He'll make sure his new wife wants to raise them and continue to cut out and alienate Kathryn as much as he can. I feel very, very sorry for their kids and seeing Kensie cry for was heartbreaking. Unfortunately that's the reality of family court and with all his money, this can go on for a long time. |
