If he stays he will probably be the coach.but how will that work if he is supervising tryouts across the other field from FVU training? Lol

Bring the popcorn!

FVU training canceled Monday

Yes. Because MYS is using the fields. As smart people correctly said.

They always cancel Monday practice after a travel weekend. Knowing that, MYS scheduled its ID session for Monday.

Girls are getting recruited more than boys. That's the goal, so not sure why clubs switch the girls. If you're looking for a club that puts girls first go to Arlington. Although in a few years if the clubs that have MLS next leave their girls ecnl to play GA, then GA will start to get better and be top league for girls.

In no way does Arlington put their girls first. 4 directors in 4 years. Only one real recruit for 08s and they've gone from national playoffs to second to last in MA. 09s have gone from dominant to mid-table. Their best players leave when given the chance. New director is too young to have any real college pull and is in way over her head - but arlington had no choice after last two left in the middle of the season. Club needs new leadership in a bad way.

You sound pathetic. There is a GA team out there for your daughter.

Believe me, we left long ago and haven't looked back.

Immature posts really. Stop the ECNL vs GA nonsense. These kids so carried away by the argument they forget what is the end goal. Guys focus on the topic. Any coaching slate yet?

First GA ID session tonight. What does success for MYS look like from a turnout perspective?

You are right. I was just trolling. I think both leagues are good to be honest, and I think my DD would enjoy GA as well.

Don't really think MYS GA is going to be anything special for a 2-3 years...these things take time to grow. I'd imagine MYS expects RL players to basically make the GA teams up for at least the first two years and slowly improve

Unless Union fills its U13 team based on merit (and not simply because someone played for Vienna or BRYC), there aren’t enough ECNL spots in the region for all MYS’s 2013 first team. Where would the girls who don’t get an ECNL spot play if not MYS GA?

But do enough RL players want to make that leap? There are quite a few multi-sport athletes at that level that may not be looking for the travel and commitment required of GA.

Insane how fast these clubs have to move, hard to hold ID sessions and think families to commit without knowing who will be coaching.

Can't be expecting much - they have two age groups scheduled at the same time, all on one field.

If coaching doesn’t change, the results won’t change:

FVU Boys
2012 - Record 1-13-1 (14th/15)
2011 - Record 1-12-1 (14th/15)
2010 - Record 7-6-1 (7th/15)
2009 - Record 3-9-2 (12th/15)
2008 - Record 1-11-2 (15th/15)
2006/07 - Record 4-7-3 (12th/15)
