I like to think I'm not vain, but if I had the money and no fear of surgery I might have done it too, so I guess I'm thankful that I don't have the money and do have the fear!

I have enough money but am a highly educated, totally independent woman. I would never go under the knife to shave a few years off my age. We will all age and die. No reason to risk medical complications to forestall the inevitable.

Appearance is absolutely not that important.

My only friend who dabbles in that stuff regretted having her neck done, because for weeks afterwards she had the sensation of “being strangled.” I noticed no change in her appearance (though had not studied how her neck looked before).

She also now has to get Botox to AVOID migraines (which she had not had prior to cosmetic Botox injections).

I don't think there's anything wrong with doing some "up keep" with the face/body/hair as you age. If that means pulling up the jowls b/c they sag, or pulling up the breasts or belly for the same reason -- go for it! But, my goodness, it's a shame that people pay good money to look like they have HAD WORK DONE. That's not supposed to be the goal. I'm not sure if it is the customer demanding extraordinary measures of the surgeon, or if the surgeon is fleecing people who have the means to pay -- and the surgeon is telling the client that she looks great when she actually looks plastic and un-real. Either way, the client/customer HAS to know when to stop trying to look 25 when they are actually 55. It never turns out well. LESS is MORE.

Joan looked SO MUCH better in her natural state. When you lose your muscle functions/facial movement, it's passed into "too much" territory.

You think she looked so much better "in her natural state" because she was much younger in those photos. Most men, certainly older ones, are going to rate women who have had work done like Joan's as more attractive than women the same age who have had none.

This is so fake and staged. Her and Pascal never had anything and she knew he wasn’t in to her. Chock and her have the most real chemistry. She and guy go well together and maybe they are starting to get more serous but she doesn’t seem as relaxed with him as she does with chock.

Joan would look better with a little less makeup. Slightly shorter hair and maybe skip the next scheduled Botox session and let things settle down. She does have a decent figure to be able to wear that white bikini at 61.
