That's exactly it. Blocking the border deal has shown exactly how disingenuous the Republicans are. It shows they don't really care about the border and have just been using it as a political stunt. It shows they aren't actually committed to solving the issues.

And instead playing games with the Mayorkas impeachment. I bet all those NY republicans who took a partisan vote to impeach last night are freaking out this morning. This was the most democratic friendly district out of all the NY Biden districts held by Rs.

It's not just a "defense" - it is reality. The GOP has never wanted this issue to be meaningfully addressed. There are too many GOP businesses and GOP homeowners who are perfectly happy to pay lower wages to undocumented workers.
