Splitting the ticket. I’m fine with our D delegate. Need to look more closely at the Attorney General candidates.

Miyares is incredible. Definitely do some research on him. You will be impressed.

DP. I found this:

Dem here - voting Youngkin - honestly if Republicans weren't so stupid nationwide they'd follow the metric of a balanced-and-diverse candidate tentpole like this. The Virginia GOP slate is amazing and shows a conservative POC can win IF you actually start supporting successful and committed candidates with actual political backgrounds.

The GOP should be ashamed to have run Larry Elders and Kim Klacik (and give them the support that they did) over Jason Miyares and Winsome Sears. I will be delighted if all three win and it really shocks the establishment enough to change.

Miyares wants to be a politician, while Herring wants to be a lawyer. That's not impressive, it's obnoxious.

Miyares and Sears both embody the immigrant story and American dream. Both are truly inspirational.

Yes, they do. So do Herring and Ayala. What a great election!

They sound like the hipsters in the coffee shop voting Trump.

Hardly. Just normal folks doing the best they can to ensure state government has people with different perspectives represented. Seeing how things don’t work when one party is in complete control locally is sobering.

Plus, there’s something uniquely revolting about a rich politician from Langley like McAuliffe pretending to give a rat’s ass about equity.

Hey I am an Arlington folk who voted for Biden and will vote for Youngkin. The pandemic revealed serious problems in Arlington schools. While it will be hard to make local changes, we hope Youngkin can make state wide changes that will dampen the crazies in the school board and the few who support them.

Two things

I have never seen so many signs for a Republican in Arlington, and I was born here 37 years ago

I have never seen so many positive comments on DCUM about a Republican

The tide may be returning to common sense.

What funding is he planning to cut in order to pay for increased education funding while also slashing state tax revenues? I can’t find any explanation from the Youngkin campaign of how that math is supposed to work.

He will cut Equity Officers and Directors, Assistant Vice Principals for Kindness, Vice Principals for Outreach to the Trans Community, Social Workers for Outreach to the Gay Community, Assistant Teacher's Union Reps for Outreach to the Questioning Community, and the Special Assistant for scheduling three hours of instruction instead of eight hours.

Omg I love you. Let’s have a thanksgiving platter of common sense. Go Youngkin!

You know the governor can’t do those things, right? That is controlled at the local level.

Speak softly and carry a big stick mean anything to you?

Anonymous wrote:Boy, this thread is off the charts! I have news for ya’ll, when more people vote, Dems win. And VA has made it very easy to vote. Dems will win handily. Ya’ll can pretend this LP stunt and all the other crap you spewing will swing this election to Trumpkin and Sears. His last minute attempt to tie a tragedy into anything to do with McAulife is disgusting. Dems will win, and they will continue to deliver for Virginians. Bye Felicia.

Then why continue using the fake and incorrect “ya’ll” in your posts. It only enhances your lack of credibility and desperation.

Not here, no. Did you mean something else?

“Y’all” as a written term is often used by arrogant liberals when they see an opportunity to talk down to people they view as ignorant hicks and rednecks. Same mindset as the Democratic/LP folks who thought it would be a good idea to cosplay with tiki torches in front of the Youngkin campaign bus last Friday.

This seems to be working out really well for them.

No it isn't. It's used to show informality, by both people who use it IRL and people who don't. It's not owned by liberals or conservatives.

As much as you, the Biden’s, Obama, Abrams, Harris, and random Dems try to make this election about Trump, it is about McAuliffe and Youngkin and what people in Virginia want.

Stop by a Virginia coffee shop today, and the only people talking about Trump will be the pink pussy cat hat boomers too old to evolve politically.

Sorry, Ayala was born and raised in Northern Virginia with all the privileges. She is only 1/4 black and 3/4 white.
