Stokes Brookland Waitlists

Anonymous
How swiftly do the waitlists for Stokes move? I got a seat at another great immersion school for prek4, but we’re also under #10 for the waitlists for Stokes French and Spanish programs. Any chance? According to last years waitlists it looks like we have a good chance but some of the DCUM posters keep saying all the waitlist data is incorrect. Thoughts? And can any current parents at Stokes that got off the waitlist for prek4 give some insight?

Not very likely unless your numbers are under 5. Stokes is a hard nut to crack. Sorry.

Really? They made 16 waitlist offers for prek4 last year for Spanish. I am under 5 for French.

No one knows any better than you OP. You have a good chance but it isn’t a sure thing. French tends to move less than Spanish because Stokes is the only immersion French option.

True. I was kinda hoping that a current parent will stumble upon this and weigh in.

Did anyone from this Stokes location get offered a spot? I haven’t seen anyone today even mention getting a spot at Brookland only EE

I also have only seen Stokes EE since yesterday. Is it possible no matches at all?

I matched at EE. But it's soooo far. The location was not announced before the lottery, and I knew it would be EOTR but I was hoping for a different possible location.

And she didn't even seem to know the name of the school. That was funny!
