Stokes Brookland Waitlists

Anonymous
Last year, my DC sat at #3 on the Spanish PK4 list for a long time and never got in. Numbers went up/down before final headcount but we never got a spot. Same thing for French. All to say that I wouldn’t bank on anything at Stokes.

that's what is so confusing because based on the waitlist numbers, they made 16 waitlist offers by October for prek4 for spanish.

16 spots? It seems they would still be taken from a waitlist, which would in turn cause the numbers to shift.

So, stokes brookland said they'd be making waitlist offers this week finally. Good luck everyone!

Really? Is this referring to PK3? I'm curious how you know this and what this generally refers to. I'm sitting near the top of the WL for K, but have just assumed no movement because no one pulling out...

Several Offers have gone out and they have until the 20th to accept. If people don’t accept they’ll keep moving down the waitlist. This is according to the school when I called.

anybody get an offer for prek4?

My single-digit prek4 number went backward. So I'm guessing no.

If you really want immersion, you apply to every DCI feeder. Stokes Brookland is tiny. Last year they enrolled a total of 31 Pk3s and 38 PK4s (not new seats - total seats).

Yeah. It’s frustrating though when your number is super low in the singles, but then you still know your chances are slim.
