Spain is one of the rare European countries on the right side of history, also calling out the genocide being comitted by Israel.

Why do people keep citing random people?

John Mearsheimer and Robert Pape are pretty much two of the foremost scholars on this and they've already said all of this for months and years.

They warned against any military action against Iran. But now too late for that.

Now they're warning against going up the escalation ladder.

Again, why name random people? Everybody thinks the same thing. But some people have decades of experience advising world leaders.

You are splitting hairs. The FPRI is an established and respected think tank. the person quoted heads their program on this and is in concurrence with the two people you cite. It isn't some random or anonymous internet person as you seem to imply. Just because *you* haven't heard of them doesn't mean their researched opinion isn't valid.

Most of Iran's oil production is mainland, not offshore.

No way to seize their oil production w/o boots on the ground.

Kharg Island is just a storage and shipping hub.

We are overhyping the value of the Island.

Yes they take a financial hit but the potential damage to GCC infastructure being offline for 5yrs + is even worse.

Iran as a failed state militarily can still shut the straight.

We are in a lose-lose the only way to win to cut losses and leave by providing concessions favorable to Iran. A win can often times be minimizing a loss.

China and Russia are loving us being drawn in to a confkict with Iran

Russia sells higher oil prices and becames a more imoortant suppliet

China gets to see us entangled in a long conflict costing us billions/trillions in resource. China can get oil from other places easily but seeing your foe entangled is far better strategically than a short term gas shortage.

Hope we get a bigger, solid gold Iwo Jima statue out on the Mall.

Iran is not a failed state and it has a lot more escalation options vs Israel/US.

China is the only place a country can buy energy independence from oil and they are open for business. EVs including heavy duty trucking, solar, wind, battery, drone tech, etc are just a phone call away.

This is the first time there has been an alternative to oil that is readily available and cheaper. China has tons of excess capacity.

if you thought China was going to be the big economic loser from our Iran War -- since CHina purchases so much Iranian oil -- think again.

Goldman Sachs thinks China will take half the hit to GDP growth we will, thanks in part to the country's massive investments in renewables + big oil reserves

NP. Their opinion isn’t valid because they have a long history of ZioNonsense, just like most ‘established and respected’ foreign policy/natsec affiliated types. Looking at the webpage they publish on “The October 7th Massacre and The Gaza War”: two obvious lies in one title! Not mention totally giving the game away with “ The “Day After” in Gaza: Bridging the American and Israeli Visions”.

Pape and especially Mearsheimer have a long history of being resolutely correct even when it came with serious personal risk. No hack at FPRI has anything like that record.

Watching the end of Zionist nonsense’s stranglehold on U.S. public opinion is glorious!

They are just stating the obvious.

But it probably is a combination of Israel's blackmail via the Epstein files, the Israeli-first people surrounding and influencing trump like Kushner, Witkoff, Levin, etc, and billionaire Zionist donors like Adelson, and psychological threats made to Trumps life by Mossad/foreign agents (as reported by Blumenthal) to force Trump to fight Israel's war.

Yes but why does Iran stand alone in officially stating that Israel-Mossad-Epstein is running the WH? Shows you how the rest of the world cowers even though so many allies are getting the shit kicked out of them.

Iran is the only one with nothing to lose.

Exactly. The entire world despises Iran already.

They are clearly winning the memetic war

Linked it for everyone. Can we put in a request for other titles? A GI Joe one would be the ultimate pwn.

You are beyond disgusting. You can be against this war but still support our troops. You must be posting from Tehran.

Bruh her Ph.D. dissertation is from 2024. She was in her dad's nutsack when these other people were publishing and advising world leaders and international bodies. She's likely citing these other people in her work.

Hell even Norm Finkelstein, in all modesty, recently said he deferred commenting publicly on the Iran invasion before he learned more about ancient and modern Iranian history.

This isn't about splitting hairs but not everyone is on the same level.

There are also other experts like Theodore Postol, Jeffrey Sachs, and Trita Parsi, coming from different academic expertise and perspectives. They lived through multiple conflicts, they didn't need to read about it.

So you keep saying! It doesn't take much to impress simpletons.

Who do you think enlists?

Hopefully no one who would ever go out of their way to save a cretin like you.
