We are between a huge house on an acre lot in Churchill boundary and tear down in Chesterbrook boundary.
Family is Asian-American. Believe both pyramids have a large Asian population. |
| Where do you work? You should consider the commute as well. |
I’m a SAHM. DH works in Georgetown. |
|
Six of one, half dozen of the other.
Don’t overthink this. Pick the house you like the best. |
| I would go with the house you like the most. Both pyramids are great. I have kids in the Churchill/Langley and we love it and we have friends in the Chesterbrook/McLean pyramid and they love it. I will say that Chesterbrook is a smaller school which many people seem to appreciate. You have a great problem if these are your choices. |
The Churchill house is definitely bigger and has better curb appeal. The tear down is closer to downtown McLean and house looks kind of crowded on a small lot. Churchill is hands down a better house. Home prices identical. |
I think you have your answer. |
| If it’s a big house on an acre lot and costs the same as the other house, I’d assume it’s an older house further out. Your DH needs to try the commutes from both to Georgetown. |
| Maybe this isn't a consideration, but what about college costs? There are more options in VA than than MD. |
| If it matters, I think Cooper and Langley offer Japanese language classes and Longfellow and McLean offer Chinese language courses. |
Chesterbrook. |
| Spring Hill is better than Churchill, Chesterbrook hasba small private school feel and is on par with spring hill academics but smaller |
???? These are both in VA |
I disagree but I am curious as to how you seem so sure of your words? |
| Churchill is a center with many weird zoned neighborhoods even Kent gardens. Chesterbrook and Spring Hill have local level 4 with many that stay if not most. This gives a nice neighborhood feel. |
