Which pyramid would you choose - Churchill/Langley or Chesterbrook/McLean?

Langley also offers Russian.

Langley also offers Chinese at Marshall Academy.

McLean offers Chinese on site. But if you have a kid who wants to take an Academy class at Marshall or Falls Church, it’s a shorter bus ride from McLean.

There are some other electives that McLean offers that Langley does not, and vice versa. For example, McLean is offering AP Capstone next year, and Langley is not. That said, both schools schools offer plenty of interesting electives.

Does McLean offer the two-week internship program at the end of senior year? It's called Langley Leap and is a highlight for seniors.

Yes, they started it last year.

Like Kirby, Old Dominion, Chain Bridge and Georgetown Pike. Got it. Thanks. This is all very helpful.

We have only driven by both neighborhoods on weekends so have no idea what traffic will be like during rush hour.

Traffic in Mclean (inside the beltway) during rush hour is not bad. There are some traffic jams near schools in Mclean but that happens around all schools during start/dismissal times. There are more cars on the roads, but it's doesn't get snarled like around Tysons Corner at rush hour. There is heavy traffic on 123 and 193 near the beltway during rush hour, but it's NBD. I think the traffic jams are much worse during rush hour in Great Falls than McLean inside the beltway. There is way worse traffic in the outer burbs than inside the beltway in Mclean.

You must be joking. Getting through McLean during rush hour is an absolute nightmare.

Mclean rush hour is a breeze compared to traffic in Tysons. I'm in both every day.

We just moved to McLean (off Old Dominion) 2 months ago and find the traffic totally reasonable - lived in Arlington previously. Now if you are talking about 123 or close to Tysons Corner that's a different story. But getting thru downtown McLean, down old dominion, kirby etc seems smooth an easy to my wife and I. We faced much worse congestion in other areas we lived outside the beltway
