Do rich husbands usually have hot wives?

It seems to me that most rich husbands have super hot wives. The husband can be attractive or not but if they are rich (or super rich) they have hot wives. Think about Steven Mnuchin and his hot (but horrible) wife.

If your husband makes a lot of money do you have more pressure on you to stay thin and attractive?

My DH makes between $300-$400k a year so not super wealthy but does well for himself. When we hang out with the other wives I am constantly amazed at how attractive the wives are and their husbands are just average. Is this normal?

My DH is attractive but definitely has gained some weight over the years (lots of working and not as much time for working out). I on the other hand have stayed in very good shape even after having 2 babies and gaining 120lbs in 2 years of pregnancies. I don't feel pressure from him to stay in shape but I do notice that most of the wives we hang out with are much more attractive and thinner than their husbands.

The other thread about only being attracted to rich ambitious men got me thinking about this!

OMG so many threads now about rich husbands!!

In my experience the wives of rich men are all over the map appearance wise, probably leaning towards the wives being average in appearance.

Most of the wealthy couples I know consist of 2 people who married in mid 20's to early 30's, and the wives were not "trophy wives" since the husbands were not yet super successful.

I have also observed that a lot of ambitious men avoided high-maintenance women (as very attractive women often, but not always, are) due to the fear that such women would be a drain and prevent them from reaching their potential.

And then I also do know of a few cases where the man married later (40's) after well-establishing himself and married a much younger, very attractive woman.

So it runs the spectrum, in my experience. You definitely do not need to be super attractive to land a rich husband but you do have to be lucky and/or from a rich well connected family.

I have a high 6 to low 7 figure income. My wife is unbelievably hot, not in the model or pinup type but she does it for me in many many many ways.

Nope. Most rich men I know have wives who are normal looking and close to their age. Some of the women have had a ton of work done but many have not.

Hot women usually don’t want to be lawyers or scientists.

They are smart and select guys who will be are/will be rich when they are dating.

So even if they’re the same age, the wife is usually more attractive than the rich guy.

In theory, wives of rich men have more time on their hands. Because most of being hot is investing the energy. It takes a lot of damn work.

I have a husband who over the course of our life together has made us rich (which he couldn't have done without me), but we got married when we were both just average slobs. So we carry on. As average slobs. Works for us.

This is incorrect...I know a decent number of rich men who are married to lawyers and scientists. They met through professional or educational circles or experiences.

Well, DH and I are both rich, though he outearns me...and I'm pretty hot!

For real, though, he always used to say that I was the hottest woman he knows in real life. And I'm okay that he thinks Jessica Alba is hotter than I am. I don't know what others think when they see me, but what DH thinks is probably more important.

We were grad students, and he had a <$20K stipend when we met.
