LeBron James married his high school sweetheart. She is a very pretty woman but not the "trophy" he could have. LeBron and Roger Federer both seem really happy and drama-free in their marriages compared to most pro athletes and are able to focus on winning on the court.

LeBron's wife had a ton of kids early on. She knew what she was doing. And, she is very pretty, just chunky.

My DH is definitely considered wealthy and I am certainly not hot but I think I'm attractive. Many of our friends are wealthy and all are on their first marriages. None of the wives are hot.

My DH has a lot of money and I'm definitely not a hottie. He actually likes that I have a brain and that I'm independent. The GF's of mine that he really likes are all the really smart ones. While I'm not hot I'm attractive and do my best to look good and stay reasonably fit. I think it also helps that I still really enjoy sex even after 30 years of marriage.

Too many wives of rich men get very comfortable with the lifestyle and forget the basics of what makes a marriage happy. Their money attracts attention from other women who would like to make them happy. Money is a magnet.

I have a friend from college who is a well-to-do doctor. He's also a tall Norse-looking guy. His wife is short and fat (she was short and already fat when they married!), but also very smart and has a heart of gold. They have been together for nearly 35 years.

Another friend is a well-off oral surgeon. He purposely married an unattractive, but smart and hard-working woman, because as he puts it, "I'm rich but ugly. A pretty woman would only want me for one reason."

BIL is wealthy. SIL is not "hot" by any measure, though she has a fulltime nanny/housekeeper and goes to the gym a lot. Interestingly enough, although she is educated and intelligent, she's also crazy and a horrible person (I have barely spent any time with her as they live far away, but was witness to her mistreating DH's family members as well as landing in her crosshairs myself). Crazy and horrible, short, dumpy, and unattractive. Go figure.
