What do you consider rich? DH's parents were farmworkers. Compared to them, we're the 1%. Compared to Paul Manafort, we're probably middle class.

At work.

Get an expensive hobby. Take up golfing, take flying lessons, race cars. Meet other participants.

At a charity fundraising event. I recommend attending them if you are interested in meeting a rich potential partner.

Pro tip: If you are interested in a rich straight partner, as I was, avoid events involving AIDS or breast cancer. If you want a rich gay partner, seek those events out.

In college. We were both a book nerd. His first job out, he made $30k in entry level accounting and I made $55k. He went to grad school, got MBA and then started in finance consulting. 15 years later he makes 20x his starting salary (not including bonuses and perks )as a company exec.Little stress. 9 to 5 job. Short commute. Home every night. Still nerdy But it looks great on him now. Great personality, not arrogant, not entitled I think because he was always the under dog.

I maxed out around $100k and then quit to raise our 3 kids. We are not even 40, and just happen to be AA
