Good points. To me, the fact that they didn't immediately make themselves available for interview is a huge red flag. I can't imagine what kind of parents wouldn't do everything they could to help police catch the killer. Since I know I didn't do anything wrong, let them do whatever they need to do to eliminate me as a suspect instead of wasting time investigating me.

Unfortunately two world doesn't work this way. You are lucky to be so naive. Plenty of innocent people are out in jail. If you are a suspect, and you are smart, you get a lawyer. Anything you say can and will be used against you.

I thought they did scream tests and you can't hear anything from the basement in the MBR. But there is an exhaust vent or something that directs toward a neighbor, a neighbor who did hear screaming.

I heard this too. The parents bedroom was on other side of the house from the basement. The house was massive, had 15 rooms!

In addition to possibly being on the spectrum.He's had a difficult life. Losing his younger sister to a brutal crime as a child. His family never being quite the same after that. Him and his parents being accused of the murders. Losing his mom to cancer. All of that would do a number on a person's "normal" response meter.

He's had a lot of loss to be sure. Lost his step sister prior to Jon Benet but not sure how close he would have been to her.

Who's idea was it to let Burke give these interviews? He mentions her eye being droopy at the funeral, poor kid he is not ready for the press. I feel like this is an attack on someone who is clearly not ready to speak publicly.

They could have gotten a lawyer and done the interviews with the lawyer present. They stalled instead. (And FWIW, I am a lawyer.)

When's the last time rich white people went to prison for a murder they had zero to do with? I'm sure it's happened once or twice, but it's not a frequent occurrence.

I would take the chance in hopes of catching the killer.

I thought all of Burke's responses from the videos of when he was 9 and 11 were totally normal for a kid of that age. He was obviously uncomfortable but was trying to please the adults asking him strange questions. Asking him how he thinks his sister was killed was ridiculous. He didn't know and was trying to think of answers to give the adults.

They did answer police questions for hours right from the beginning. Then they got a lawyer and would not give further interviews because they realized the police were incompetent, had completely botched the crime scene, and were solely focused on them, and were not looking for the real killer. Even the woman police detective said she could tell it was Jon by looking at him. What kind of detective work is that. They dismissed Santa who was a freak obsessed with JB for know good reason.

Santa brought a jar of glitter with him to the hospital when he had his surgery that JB had given to him the year before. First of all Santa had his own family. Why of all things to bring to the hospital before his heart surgery would he bring something from JB. Because he was obsessed with her. What kind of people are obsessed with little girls. It's a scenario that makes more sense to me than some of the others. I'm not sure what reading a book they "wrote" proves.
