Crazzzzzy madness! Too much hype around this stupid program!

If it is a stupid program, why are reading/ responding to these posts? Don't u have anything better to do?

How do you think reached to the conclusion? Instead of blindly follow a hype, I do "read"....

Right! u can "read"; but not write. So go back and read what u wrote..

And using "u" instead of "you" is correct? Stop writing like a teenager.

Maybe is a teenager! After all, picking on someone just because they said something you wouldn't like is what teenagers do!

My daughter's teacher told me last week that my daughter got in and I confirmed it w/ our AART. The AART was surprised that I hadn't received a letter yet bc, according to her, parents and schools are usually notified around the same time. I believe the school got the list early last week. I called the AAP office and was told the letters would be mailed June 30.

The principal did tell me on the last day of school and thought that we had already received the letter.

My daughter bombed on the COGAT and got 115. She took the WISC and got 136. Will the WISC score overcome such a low COGAT score?

Possibly. It depends upon the remaining items in the file (GBRS with Commentary, progress reports, etc.).

Yes. An individual test score will outrank a group-administered test.

What score do you need on WISC to get in to AAP?

It doesn't work like this, necessarily. A lower score with a higher GBRS could still get in, while a very high WISC can get in regardless of nearly all other scores.

+1

The central screening committee also looks for a very high WISC without any other corroborating items in the file. A very high WISC alone will not always be "the score you need to get in to AAP."

Or your child's behavior/work habits were such that it was hard for her teacher to see her true "potential".

A socre of 115 is not "bombing" it.

Seriously. How is 115 "bombing" it? This area has such skewed standards.
