My spouse had GBS. If you keep Googling, you will see that one of the more common causes is a Campylobacter infection. And Campylobacter Who would have thought a 24 hour gastro disturbance could have led to hospitalization two weeks later? We didn’t. But if you’re going to avoid every vaccine due to the rare risk of GBS, you had better avoid all animal products, swimming holes, diaper changes, restaurants, and unwashed produce because Campylobacter can spread all of those ways. Oh, and you should also wear a mask at all times, because many viruses also cause GBS. Hope that helps! |

Those poor kids. Imagine looking your parents in the eye, begging them to protect you from the agony that is measles, and they just double down on their hubris. Smug in their righteousness and protected by the vaccines their own parents gave to them. Assuming these kids actually do get the chance to grow up, I suspect that many will be going NC at 18. And for the ones that don’t - the law may not call it murder, but God knows what’s in the hearts of those parents, and they had best believe there will be a price to pay. |
Of course they don’t, they’ve been riding on herd immunity. To them the calculus is vaccinate your child, and risk the minute chance of a side effect, or do nothing, and face no risk at all because the diseases are so remote. Well guess what? Mother Nature isn’t here to play. Herd immunity has dropped, and the diseases are back. They’re going to learn the hard way that a 1 in 50 chance of hospitalization accompanied by a 1 in 1000 chance of death is a lot more serious than a 1 in 100,000 chance of a severe vaccine side effect. Unfortunately, their kids are going to be doing the suffering. |
| At what point does MAGA blame these outbreaks on "immigrants"? |
Seems like it’s good old fashioned white Christian Fundamentalists driving all these outbreaks, with a notable assist from the Hasidim. Have to hand it to them - each family and the planet can sustain only so many inbred morons - if you’re not going to breed responsibly, you have to manage the numbers somehow. |
They already are, have been |
| As a child, my sisters and I had both the chicken pox and measles. When one of us got it, I don't remember who contracted it first, my mother exposed the other two so that she could deal with it at the same time. The vaccines were not available, or maybe readily available, at the time. As the care giver, it must have been hell for mom. As the person suffering from the viruses, it was pure torture. The chicken pox I remember being the worse because you have to wear gloves at all times to limit your ability to scratch. I am so glad there were vaccines when I had my DC, for obvious reasons. I don't understand why any parent would knowingly put their DC through this horror. |
Because it make them feel special to believe they know the “real” truth about vaccines. That feeling is worth more to them than their children’s health. |
We don't actually know how likely a vaccine is to inflict harm, the closest we can get is to use VAERS data, which vaccine enthusiasts dismissed during COVID. Frankly the industry is just not interested in tracking things once you leave the doctors office. |
We do know. There is much more to vaccine safety surveillance than raw VAERS data. It’s an entire scientific discipline that relies on multiple types of reporting and data. Claiming that “the closest we can get is to use VAERS data” is completely misleading. |

I didn't know Fox News was so sensible about protecting itself. But yes, this vax stuff has gotten out of control. Children have already died. More will die due to extreme parental stupidity (even though that can't be registered as a cause of death). |
| The scary part is that even if your kids gets better they die 10 years later out of the blue from acute Sclerosing Panencephalitis (SSPE). It’s fatal and nothing you can do!! So scary. |
