I don't think you can. I looked into it before and they have governmental immunity but people can 100% try and post how it goes. |

There is some precedence for this. Dept of Labor (where MHIC exists) was sued for delays and errors in processing unemployment benefits claims during the COVID-19 pandemic. The case led to overhaul in their processes. It might come down to what did MHIC know or have and when, did they act according to the MHIC laws and did they do anything to protect homeowners. This might be a way to bring attention to MHIC processes which clearly appear to have failed to protect homeowners. There needs to be changes and if they do not take it on themselves to look at what could have been done differently then maybe outside influence is needed. Would be nice is a politician would pick this up and pursue it for the good of Maryland residents. |

| MHIC now lists a Notice to Customers of Optimum Construction on their website. The notice is that any Optimum Construction customers must submit a claim to receive "proportional" share of the Guaranty Fund by February 3, 2025. MHIC also states "The Maryland Home Improvement Commission terminated the contractor license of Optimum Construction". Not sure if this is just being sloppy on their part, however, Omar self terminated his license. MHIC never took action against Optimum Construction until the complaints poured in after he filed bankruptcy. Wording could be considered misleading. Maybe Omar will confirm this for us? Is mhic really patting themselves on the back on this one? I lost my life savings but I get a sweet $1k out of this because there were so many victims. But hey Omar Helmy gets to ride off into the sunset to rip off more people in Dubai with OLV dubai vacations or whatever new scam he's setting up. Its a travesty MHIC thinks a measly $250k would suffice when Omar stole millions.
The only thing I've learned is if I want more space I'm buying a new house because MHIC isn't protecting anyone from anything. |

| Lol Omar Helmy is fleeing the country this Saturday and MHIC dares to claim they were doing anything for the consumers that were ripped off as Omar Helmy flee s the country? Where's the justice? Where's the criminal filings? They got 4 days left to do it but I'm guessing the OAG are probably having a little party with MHIC for a job well done. Sure normal people got hurt but hey we get to finger wag as Omar flies off into sunny Dubai! Great job MD. |

Omar's recent actions speak volumes. His waiver of discharge and plan to leave the country to avoid facing penalties are a clear and documented admissions of his guilt. For months, he insisted that once we understood the reasons behind his failed projects and the loss of customer funds, it would exonerate him. He repeatedly claimed that his lawyers prevented him from speaking. This narrative unraveled a few months ago when he made the same claim during bankruptcy proceedings. However, this time, the judge called his bluff and gave him the opportunity to respond to the charges filed by the US Trustee.
With no legal obstacles and the judge's approval, Omar cowardly chose not to defend himself, simply stating that he denied the claims against him, effectively shattering his consistent claim of innocence. By waiving his discharge with millions of dollars sought by creditors, he is essentially admitting guilt. These are not the actions of an innocent person, and everyone can now use this against him. Omar knows he has only two options: face the consequences or flee. He is betting everything on whether the multitude of government entities investigating this will file charges and apprehend him. Unfortunately we have already seen the entity that had the power to stop or limit Omar’s impact (MHIC) fail in their basic mission as a government entity. The question remains whether the other entities that can hold him accountable will step up and do what is right. Meanwhile, customers, partners, vendors, landlords, financial institutions, and more are waiting to see if those responsible will simply “do their jobs.” This is, of course, just my opinion. |

Yeah, Omar Helmy took them down in a hurry. If you google OLV Dubai Vacations you can still see the images. also I saved the html for the https://ogiusa.com to hand off to the OAG. And shockingly GRIP supercar events is still up but that existed before the bankruptcy. |

Someone pointed out that when you have a "bad person" that keeps providing information and evidence, you don't stop them. The more they do, the more you collect, and it simply makes the case stronger. The stronger the case, the less you have to at trial or need to make a deal. In this case, Amr Omar keeps giving, the waiver of discharge opened the door for anything to go on the table. They want to find the money and if you have someone that is willing to lead you to it, let them. Even putting pictures of assets not listed in his bankruptcy on FB is just head scratching. The bankruptcy fraud case is unbelievable. Omar has consistently made the wrong moves and helped create the case against him at every turn. We may not like it, but there is no reason to stop him when he is working hard to build the case for the government to put himself away.
The Egypt and Dubai connection has been known for a long time. You will be shocked to hear the US has resources in Dubai and Egypt. They are probably just waiting for his arrival to continue to collect evidence against him. In the end, it will be interesting to see how much of the government's case came directly from Omar and his family. Remember, Omar, per his own under oath statements and bankruptcy filings has no money. He is moving to Dubai without a penny in his pocket, we all saw his bank accounts in the bankruptcy filings. What he does now simply helps the government prove their case. |
