Omar knows he has only two options: face the consequences or flee. He is betting everything on whether the multitude of government entities investigating this will file charges and apprehend him. Unfortunately we have already seen the entity that had the power to stop or limit Omar’s impact (MHIC) fail in their basic mission as a government entity. The question remains whether the other entities that can hold him accountable will step up and do what is right. Meanwhile, customers, partners, vendors, landlords, financial institutions, and more are waiting to see if those responsible will simply “do their jobs.”
