| I heard that Loudoun Soccer is working toward getting ECNL for girls. Does anyone know if this is true or just a rumor? |
| I heard that too |
|
LOL. Loudoun with ECNL. ASA with Girls DA.
Both of them blew it last year in their failed alliance with W. Spirit and now the scrambling, rumors, etc. fly . . . |
| I heard ASA was trying to get ECNL. |
| I hear BRYC applied for a full USGDA |
| Loudoun Soccer will announce ECNL very soon |
Any club can apply. BRYC getting full GDA now is pretty funny though. |
|
^^^ gotta love soccer rumour mill mongering
But, hey, if every Club and its mother gets ecnl or girls da, then maybe the big three don't play first teams in ccl anymore and CCL finally gets shown for what it is: a non-elite league of B teams, lesser A teams, and bad soVA teams. |
Yup, that is what this is all about, trying to expose CCL. ??? |
whoah, right after a good chunk of their top talent bailed for FCV too. I wonder if FCV and Loudoun will stay hitched. |
| ^ yes, that's what Loudoun Soccer has told us for years! Go CCL! |
Yeah because VPL or NCSL are any better. There has to be a next level after DA/ECNL and in this area the next best thing is CCL no matter whether you like it or not. Of course it has its flaws but better then the other options. |
| I would be surprised if BRYC applied for the Girls DA program as currently both their Boys and Girls clubs are both in ECNL. |
I agree very unlikely after 1st year in the league and also after loss of some membership due to the team/training changes at younger ages. I guess they could always keep the same training approach and just focus on the DA. |
| If true, as a PP stated, these clubs never should have turned Spirit down on the first go around. ECNL likely served to retain players a BRYC but I doubt that it has brought any into the club. On the other hand, for Loudoun, just getting players is never the problem but if they do get ECNL it could serve to retain those who don't make FCV's DA. I don't think Loudoun having ECNL muddies the water between the two clubs as much as it might first appear. When they merged there was always an understanding that Loudoun would lose top players to FCV. I think what they didn't count on was players leaving for VDA or Spirit so getting ECNL gives them something to offer those players to stay. |
