None of this matters. Tyler was probably a self taught software developer/engineer basically. He was recruited by an intelligence agency. He was hacking into domestic and foreign governments and possibly being paid by Kirk.

Honestly, if you were to just make up the most cockamamie fictional story about this, you couldn't do any better.

If this person was CIA or intelligence, why would he share information with a roommate? Why would he have a roommate at all? If he were being paid by a major intelligence agency he would have enough money to have his own apartment.

Why would he have a homemade sniper gun made out of a hunting rifle? Why would he drop it in the woods? Neither of those fit with your intelligence agency conspiracy theory. So, could you show some evidence or just drop it?

That he went on the top of a building and shot somebody? That's not ludicrous. That's something anyone in this country with guns available on every corner could do at any moment. It's eminently believeable.

He was framed. He was lured to the roof for whatever reason, thinking he was getting paid for hacking and discovering relevant information for Kirk. He could have received a gun as payment.

People like Stephen King are getting caught in Kirk's deceit. He didn't say gays should be stoned. He said Biblical law requiring gays to be stoned was "God's perfect law." He didn't say it explicitly, but implicitly, and everyone understood his meaning, especially that he was being deceitful.

I hear that it's hard to accept that someone you identify with for whatever reason was a murderer, but in this case it seems likely that he is. Especially since he confessed and his father turned him in.

Maybe he has OCD, who knows or cares? He confessed because his photo was the only person of interest out there. He had to turn himself in, he is the only suspect. There’s no evidence though that he shot anyone.

The shooter went to USU for one semester 3 years ago. He wasn't there long enough to get "indoctrinated" (ie educated and exposed to people of different backgrounds and cultures)
