I am thrilled that they're happy and wish them the best. However, I find the photos cringeworthy. They just seem so attention-seeking and narcissistic for two people who don't need the attention and have no cause for social insecurity.

How is this attention seeking? The royals always release engagement photos. Kate and Will did as well. Literally on the exact same time frame (4 weeks from engagement announcement).

He's a prince. She's an actress. Attention isn't really something they can avoid.

I like the photos. but I am a bit surprised by her dress! Don't get me wrong, I love it. It just seems so different than what we typically see the royals wearing. It really stands out compared to Kate's old lady suits and dresses.

Agreed. I get that Kate probably has to wear more dowdy clothes as part of her role, but these two keep it fresh and glamorous - its refreshing!
