Look at her high school photos. She's not beautiful. Not even close. She's the result of plastic surgery, capped teeth and ton of hair chemicals.

I don't look ANYTHING like my high school pictures. Nothing! Most people don't. Besides a few fillers, I am the same person. I didn't start getting fillers and botox until my 40s so people change and get more beautiful. Maybe you got fatter, but many of us peak later.

+1
I am very glad I look different than I did in high school. No surgeries or fillers - just a better knowledge of what looks good on me, how to do my makeup and hair, etc. I'm one of those people that definitely improved with age.

Have many women (assuming mostly white) really grown up entertaining fantasies of marrying a prince?

I’m a black woman, in my late 30s—wanting to marry a prince never ever crossed my mind growing up. (Actually, never wanted to get married or have kids, but that’s another story—and ended up married with a kid anyway ). So not jealous at all about Markle marrying a prince, and have never followed news of British royals etc.—all the posts about her “game” and “snagging” a prince here surprise me. I do think they look like a nice couple, and have been following this story a bit given the “controversy” she’s half black and American.

Is marrying a prince really a fantasy many of y’all have grown up with? Or just the people posting here?

White women were raised on 60 years of Disney movies where the white girl meets and falls in love with her white Prince. So yeah, it's a fantasy they've entertained since childhood.

It wasn't until Aladdin in the late 90s that Disney made a romance fairy tail between two POC's.

This whole thing is so bizzare because by pure statistics someone like Ivanka Trump or Olivia Palermo would've theoretically had better odds of marrying a Prince than someone like Meghan Markle. The fact that Meghan snagged freaking Prince Harry while all of us UMC white women with our good breeeding, social standing are here marrying ordinary nobodies living lives of mediocrity is depressing. Why not me? If Meghannhad the chance, I actually could have too! Except I don't know anyone who is as striking and good looking as her. Her looks helped her out of poverty. Cinderella story indeed.

47 year old biracial woman, wondering the same thing. Never occurred to me to even dream or fantasize about marring a prince.

You've been reading too many tabloids. Meghan didn't grow up in poverty. She grew up middle class in a solidly middle class neighborhood (Windsor Hills), and she attended private school her entire life. Her mother is also a USC graduate.

As a 45 year old white woman, no marrying a Prince never crossed my mind, but then again, when I was young there were no well known desirable Princes around who were my age. Prince William was considered a teen heartthrob back in the 90's so it wouldn't surprise me if white women around his age had a fantasy about marrying him.

Good thing she targeted a rich guy.
