You need to be patient; justice is slow, especially since the pandemic. The courts are overwhelmed and just when they start to catch up on the dockets, the pandemic closes the courts again with another spike. When I was on jury duty in spring 2021, we were hearing a case that was committed in fall 2018, 2.5 years prior. So, it isn't just this case, but the court dockets are packed and the courts are hearing cases as soon as possible. The fact that as many of the 1/6 small fish have been brought to court as have been, is already quite fast. Many people in federal, state and county courts are waiting much longer than these people for their day in court. |
Garland, then Thompson then Cheney all spoke.
The Committee appears to be MUCH farther along than previously reported. 2022 could not come soon enough. |
We can lock terrorsts up pretty quick when we want to. You be patient, I’ll keep worrying about our failing democracy. |
My biggest fear is that things are moving so slowly that a Dem. loss in the midterms means it will all be shut down. They need to move quickly because things may be very different one year from now. I am putting a lot of faith in DOJ that they know what they are doing, but we need to start getting answers soon about who led the insurrection and if charges will be filed. I don’t know how much longer we can actually last…to include how we will last as a country if we don’t find out the truth this year. |
AG Merrick Garland plans speech on Jan. 6 investigation for Wednesday (January 5) https://www.washingtonpost.com/national-security/garland-capitol-riot-speech/2022/01/03/aa94f186-6cde-11ec-a5d2-7712163262f0_story.html
Garland plans to make a public speech about the January 6, 2021 insurrection this Wednesday. I've read two articles and can't suss out what time he plans the speech. Apparently he recently had a meeting with members of The Commision. If he isn't ready to take some hard action he needs to resign so someone with stones (probably a female) can do the job. |
