MCPS should keep Crown as a holding school, drop the Wootton plan and put Wootton to the back of the line given other schools need it more and they can wait their turn.

It already is at the back of the line. You want to take it out of that line altogether by destroying Wootton as it is today. That’s what Wootton families don’t want.

Moving Wootton to Crown is treating kids as chattel. If MCPS could get away with it, they would forcibly bus Wootton kids to low performing schools all over the county, then ask MoCo for bonuses because they raised test scores in those schools.

My three kids each did a combination of MCPS and private school, and I recognize the privilege to have the choice. I am also a MCPS teacher at a title I school and work with many families who left everything behind to give their kids a better life and education. Not all but *most* truly appreciate any help their kids receive. They don’t have family money to pay for tutors or private schools. Please be grateful for the blessings and opportunities your family has available!

Stop making up it will destroy the school when a few more students will go to the school harming your self segregation. We don’t want your kids at our schools. Not because of the kids but because of you. You all have no issue busing your kids for the speciality programs. You seem to want a publicly funded private.

And, I’d be thrilled if my kids were bussed. We are at the two Mike walk line with a dangerous walk so I have to drive each kid to school 2-4 times a day plus outside activities.
