He’s suing RS and BoD. Nearly all of what was mentioned in the lawsuit was a RS personal action. |
+1 So someone who cares so much about the financials of GFR wants the YOUTH soccer club to give him a payday! Got it! Takes a special kind of person to sue a youth soccer association for money. |
The club is presumably insured against these claims, so any money isn’t coming out of anyone’s pocket (except for any amounts up to the SIR). |
He's only suing RS and the BoD to step down, the club will pay out the money not any individual. |
And if they use insurance their premiums will either skyrocket or they'll get dropped. Ultimately, the club will PAY. Not RS. Not NM. Not any member of the BoD. The CLUB will pay. |
And how do you think the club gets money? Perhaps, from the individual fees we all pay out of our own pockets? And paying from insurance is not free as someone alluded to... it's money lost in terms of insurance rates at best, at worst its lose of coverage. And even when he loses this case, the cost to the lawyers GFR has paid must be ridiculous. How much money has the club already lost to lawyers because of ML (BOD not coach)? It must be far greater than any amount he "alleges" others have done. |
Meeting slides show a 33% reduction of players from 2025 to 2026. From 98% acceptance to a 71% acceptance rate. Nevermind which side of this circus drama is right or wrong, 1/3 of the customers have already said f it we're out. The club has been irreparably hurt reputationally, socially, financially, and more. That's a shame. |
And now on top of that, Mr. Self Righteous wants $71,000 for himself why? He lost ALL moral high ground once he was looking to get paid. What reason is he giving for wanting a payout? <crickets> |
They are claiming a 98% acceptance rate?? If true, that is an astounding number. |
People are leaving because their kids were on top end RL teams last year and, looking ahead, RL looks to be weakening due to teams and players migrating to MLS/GA. GFR stood pat and didn’t make a play for a better platform, so not shocking that ~30% are leaving. |
a good portion went to Loudoun East that plays NCSL so not sure this is true |
Loudoun East doesn’t have older age groups, they funnel into Loudoun (MLSN2) or NVA after that. Everyone is in NCSL until U13. |
It’s more true than a few uLittle teams leaving to Loudoun East. |
It's obvious from reading some of these posts over the past few days that a lot of the people making these posts haven't actually seen the complaint. |
Probably so. What should people know? |
