Pete Hedgseth for Secretary of Defense

It's such a weird narrative that it's no big deal for a nominee to have these kinds of allegations on their record because "oh anyone can make an accusation."

I know many, many men and none of them gave rape allegations in their past. I know one guy who has a rape allegation in his past and while I don't know the truth of what happened, I can tell you he is a man who is unethical and has poor boundaries and it is not even remotely surprising that he has this allegation.

This is not something that happens to men who are decent guys who aren't sexually aggressive and constantly pushing boundaries. Only someone like Trump would believe that.

This. Do people think this is so common? How many men in your life have these accusations thrown at them? And this is DCUM where plenty of you know rich men with $$

So…..

This would be a very different story if the genders were reversed.

Could we find a Secretary of defense that is not getting "very intoxicated"? I think we could. That would seem to be a very wise idea.

We’d have no FDIC chair currently if we held all political appointees to this standard.

Regret does not equal rape. Say that ten times.

Everyone at the conference who saw her and her husband who saw her after her hookup said she was stone cold sober before, during, and immediately after she had sex with Hegseth.

A sleazy man is a national security risk. Regardless of what happened with this woman, he is easily compromised.

She was coming onto him and lied to her husband over text and in person. That’s called an affair.

Hey, it worked out for her. An easy 10K.

If men don’t want to be smeared by these women, they need to stop hooking up with them, or when they do, they need to stop paying them.

Not her him. I don't care how much she drinks. I do care how much the Secretary of defense drinks.

+1

I find it pretty disgusting when people assume women are lying or just having "regret" or use the logic that the women didn't report fast enough or press charges. Do false accusation happen, sure, but those are incredibly rare and rape is so traumatic that waiting to report or not wanting to press charges happen more often than not.
